My mother and I stayed at the Parliament Hotel from Dec 24-27. What a wonderful value this hotel is. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The customer service was beyond amazing. We were fortunate enough to meet the assistant manager Fo'uad who understood our dietary requirements and recommended some of the best and affordable Indian/Mid-Eastern food I have had. He also helped us avoid taxi costs by recommending buying our tickets for the hop on hop off tour bus at the stop itself (which is only 1 block away) instead of going to the main stop. He also helped arrange a ride, so we may attend the Friday prayers at a nearby mosque. The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to downtown and the malls. A wonderful breakfast i s included at the attached restaurant. If I have a chance to come back, I will stay at this hotel again.

I would definitely recommend that hotel for budget travelers. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, which is more than we expected for the price. Its located in the city centre – walking distance form bus terminal and city bus red line.
Breakfast are a bit disappointing (we always choose full English so here they did not cope with eggs – it was very oily), however there is some choice of joghurt, musli, a bit of fruits, tost and jam, even some sweets etc.
What is amazing is the staff! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They do care for every customer in every case. Since one of the shark diving companies cheated on us (GoSharkDiving) and we had a lot of time to spare, they arranged the whole time for us finding the most recommended service provider. I think it is worth to book trips through the Parliament hotel due to the fact, that they already know the local market and also advise what is worth visiting and what is not.
The most amazing person is Freda, lady in the reception who does care for every customer. When we were leaving CT back to our country, she even offered her support to deal with GoSharkDiving Company to get back our money for service not provided. We do appreciate her care and support.

Very herpful staff, wonderful breakfast, good possibility to park the car close to the entrance, reasonable price, good rooms with a view to table mountain in a central location, complimentary wifi - this was a good start in South-Africa for us.

My husband and I stayed at Parliament Hotel over the Christmas holidays, and we would definitely stay there again. Everything but the seaboard is accessible by foot from there, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is helpful, and the room was clean. The corridors are a little loud, but that is really all that there is to it. It's a European-style hotel, rather than an American-style one, but all the same very comfortable. I would recommend for young couples who don't want to spend a lot of money, and yet don't want to stay in a sub-par hotel or hostel.
