We have just returned from yet another stay at the Radisson hotel in the waterfront. As usual everything there was excellent. This is now our 13the visit and we hope to return again next year all being well. The staff are very nice. Some have been there for some time now are always are very welcoming to us. Thanks to Paul and Victor and Abigail and Letitia and the ' boys and girls' who serve round the pool side who so helpful and pleasant. All goes to make for a very happy stay. The rooms are very nice as is the service and the food. 10 out of 10 all round.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Radisson Blu Hotel Cape Town for a recent holiday, in order to get away and to wind down from the winter blues of constant rain and greyness in the UK' The hotel has arguably the best location along the Cape Town water's edge and a short 10 min stroll to the famous V&A shopping centre, restaurants and cafes overlooking the harbour. For those who wish to ride, there is an hotel mini bus, on the hour that will take you to and from the V&A complex Our corner room on the third floor of the hotel had the benefit of dual aspect views of both the sea and Table Mountain. The room was spacious and kept immaculately clean. Breakfasts were amazing and the evening meals. particularly the buffet were excellent. The staff couldn't be more helpful or accommodating and always with a smile. An amazing experience for David & Delia Gibbs.

Raddison Blu is a modern hotel right on the Atlantic, with great views across to Robben Island and the other side of Table Bay. We had "stadium" view for a night, then moved to a seaview suite for three further nights.

Suites are luxurious - as you would expect of a genuine 5 star hotel - with stunning sea views. Service at the hotel is immaculate, with polite, knowledgeable, attentive staff looking after your needs. There is a frequent free shuttle to the waterfront, which runs till late each evening.

Most enjoyable feature of the hotel, I think, is the restaurant, bar and pool deck. Breakfasts are delicious, with absolutely everything on offer, including, much to my satisfaction, bacon and other pork products! (We were refugees from the "Halal Hilton" when we visited)

Pool is small(ish) and "nearly" infinity. It is a great place to relax, with comfortable loungers. But..........

Health warning follows:
The loungers are extremely dangerous. Large and heavy, the have stick out handles to aid in moving them. These are lethal! Both my wife and I took the skin off our shins, and we watched other guests do the same. One young woman was in tears, with blood running down her leg. If the hotel was in the USA, they would be drowning in lawsuits. Please Raddison - do something about these menaces!

We loved most of our time at the Raddison. It is a great place to stay in Cape Town. Would be even better, and worthy of 6 rather than 4 TA "blobs", if only they bought new loungers!

Room: right over the front area and the constant mouse if buses reversing, taxis stopping, people disembarking. I am a light sleeper and realised after a few minutes in the room that I would never get to sleep. Phoned Reservations. They said they did not have any other rooms available. I asked them to confirm that I could check out the following day as I would never survive two nights with the noise. They undertook to revert. An hour later, I phoned down again and was advised that the message would be passed on. A further hour later...and here I still am. Cannot wait to leave. Oh, and if you're on the first floor, regardless of sea-facing or not, you also have the noise from reception.

We spent four nights here in February as a family of five on a whirlwind trip to Cape Town and it was a great hotel for location, food, comfort and assistance.
Due to the hectic schedule we had during our stay here we didn't make the most of all the services that the R.B has to offer but we can certainly agree that the Business rooms overlooking the Ocean are fantastic and sitting out in the early mornings watching the Dolphins and seals in the sea was amazing. The breakfasts were probably one of the best for choice and quality we have experienced, the bar meals and snacks and room service meals were of good quality and the bar and cocktails not ridiculously overpriced, especially for the location and view while drinking your Mojito.
Our children enjoyed the infinity pool, although not the biggest pool it was never very busy so this wasn't an issue.
The business rooms were very large with good facilities although have to agree slightly lacking in storage space especially some drawers. The rooms were always immaculately cleaned and turned down in the evening and the beds very comfy for a great nights sleep.
The shuttle bus was great for getting to and from the V & A even though its only about a 10-15 minute walk.
The front of house staff were always very helpful and had some great advice on trips and directions for a visitor to Cape Town. Shame we couldn't have a late check out due to a late flight home but the use of the Spa facilities for showering etc was ok.
This is a large hotel and sometimes you do feel more like a room number rather than a named guest although I understand that this is difficult to manage due to the turnover of guests staying here for Business and Holidays.
We will definitely be returning to Cape Town in the future and would be hard pushed to stay anywhere other than the Radisson Blu Waterfront.

If you haven't been to the Sunday Buffet at thjs hotel, you are missing out big time. The variety is excellent, the food is fresh and the deserts are a blessing. With impeccable service and staff making you feel at home, there remains very little to be bothered about but to enjoy the food and the setting. The restaurant is on a patio right next to the water's edge of the Atlantic Ocean. While the sea bamboos swing lazily in the cool waters, we enjoyed our starter plate of (self dished) cajun calamari strips, pickeled fish, cold smoked salmon, rolled mops, and mussels. The next plate was filled with rare grilled beef strips and pasta salad, fresh greens and....more salmon....just could not resist! The main course was sirloin steak and leg of lamb, done medium to rare and served with a choice of gravies. By that time there was no more room for the seafood paella, beef stroganoff, cajun spiced chicken or any of the other hot food. I had to keep a special little hole for the berry pavlova....the meringue was perfect! And after finishing the lunch, we relaxed for another hour or two under the umbrellas on the patio. Should you find yourself in Cape Town on a Sunday, spoil yourself to this buffet. I noticed a familiar TV personality who drove through from Ceres for the lunch....make your own conclusion. This place will definitely see us again. And it is EXCELLENT value for money too. I cannot recommend it strongly enough.

Room Tip: If you do not want to sit under the umbrellas, ask fro a table inside. the view and ambiance is equ...

I got a really nice and very spacious room with a view to the sea and that was just fabulous.
The breakfast is excellent with a really good service and a marvelous to the beach.
Unfortunately, I stayed there for only 3 nights and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
