Reviewed 10 September 2010

stayed 4 nights...arrived early morning and got a room right away...I would have preferred to stay in the downtown area but this was a business trip so had to stay with my colleagues...very spacious room and bathroom with big windows (great views!)...breakfast was fine...staff were efficient and provided service with a smile...V&A Waterfront shopping nearby but still had to take cab since it was raining..might stay here again but would like to try a different location next time..

We were looking for a hotel to stay one night only, and me and my wife ran out of time driving around. We took a chance and just went to the first and best hotel we could find, and it proved to be a good thing... the staff were friendly and helped us immediately finding a room with a view. They made us feel welcome and the service was excellent! A bit overpriced but the view made up for it, it was beautifully furnished, and no detail was overlooked. Two thumbs up.

Excellent location- really beautiful. A bit pricey for what you get, though. Most notably, the bar and restaurant staff, although friendly, were painfully slow and inattentive.

stayed at the Blu with family & friends, picture the scene, perfect cocktails served by excellent, professional, friendly staff overlooking Cape Bay at sunset with whales breaching 50 metres off-shore, with table mountain as a backdrop!! The hotel is modern but still manages to be accessible and friendly. The breakfast / lunch buffet is
excellent but my overriding memory is that of the staff, each and everyone was professional in a well trained way but so happy to go the extra mile for you to make your visit perfect.

There is nothing about this property that we did not enjoy. The staff is outstanding. Everyone from the front desk, the van drivers and housekeeping are available and extremely competent. The management is always around including in the dining area. The location and hotel are beautiful and the staff will help you get wherever you need to be, including free and regular rides to the water front.
We placed items in the safe and left several notes around the room to remind us to remove the items before departure. The housekeeping staff saw the notes and left us a beautiful note in return asking us if it meant we needed help with the safe. This is an example of the proactive and helpful staff at its best.
Prior to our trip beginning I e mailed the staff to arrange some tours and transportation which I proceeded to change several times due to missed flights. All of the plans were changed and no problems occurred.
Do not hesitate to stay at this property for a lovely, safe stay when in Cape Town.

After deciding on Cape Town as our first stop on Honeymoon we were recommended this hotel by Trailfinders. After looking on TripAdvisor for the usual reviews we decided to go for it and we are very glad we did! An overnight flight meant we arrived at the Radisson Blu at around 9am - the hotel staff gave us a fantastic welcome and pack to give us some information on the surrounding area and checked us into our room despite arriving much earlier than planned. We opted for the Business Class Sea Facing room and we were completely bowled over by it - the views were incredible over the pier, marina and Table Mountain to our right. The room itself was split into a living area and bedroom which gave us a huge amount of space - plus a huge bathroom with the most amazing shower. The location was great - we were only about a 10 minute walk to the R&A Waterfront, and the main bus tour stops really close to the hotel. The staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable about the area and local amenities and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic as well - particularly the French Toast and Crispy Bacon! The spa area was great as well - there is a small jacuzzi pool with lounge chairs which is beautiful and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our trip to the Radisson was made all the more special with a surprise bottle of champagne, strawberries and chocolates as a congratulations from the hotel staff - a really wonderful touch.

We stayed here during the World Cup and our three nights there were the best. Our two bedroom condo over looked the ocean and had all of the usual luxury amenities. The buffet breakfast was included in our package and was wonderful. After a long haul flight, waking up and eating outside in the sunshine by the ocean was such a special treat. But the best aspect of the Radisson was the service. Everyone working at the hotel went out of there way to be helpful and friendly. While the location is a long walk to the V & A Waterfront (and I would not do it after dark), there was a shuttle which we used every evening.
