I totally loved the ambience of the Cape Heritage - gorgeous restored building and fabulous (often quirky) furnishings. My room (102) was wonderful with all amenities and great bathroom The shower is one of the best I've encountered and the bath tub is lovely too. However, facing onto Bree st, it was VERY noisy ..... I was assured by staff that it was one of the quietest rooms so, unfortunately, that doesn't say much for the others. Even with the shutters closed and wax ear plugs, I was disturbed by the traffic noise at night. The staff were mostly great (Sam etc) - however, a few of the female staff were sullen and unhelpful. I had a massage in the spa which was ok but without any real style (no gown, no tea/water, loud unrestful music .....). Nice rooftop terrace and hot tub. Handy location for walking around town -highly recommend nearby Birds Cafe for lunch/coffee and terrific food market in St George's st Thursdays 10-3.

We stayed at Cape Hertiage Hotel for two nights, to end our travels in South Africa. We stayed in a luxurious room, overlooking the courtyard at the back of the hotel. The hotel was very spacious, with lots of uniquely decorated, stylish rooms (far from being kooky they were very tastefully done). The location was excellent-a short walk to Long Street, which is the hub of Cape Town night life. Our room was lovely- large, with a private balcony, amazing bathroom (the free-standing bath was huge!) and separate living room. The staff were very helpful and happy to give advice on trips around the local area. The Little Heritage Spa attached to the hotel had a variety of treatments which were good value for money. Breakfasts were good, with lots of choice and in a lovely setting in the hotel. Would recommend to all looking for somewhere luxurious to stay in Cape Town.

Room Tip: 'Luxury' rooms are much larger than standard rooms. Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard...

I stayed at the Cape Heritage for 3 nights in June 2013.
Upon checking in, my lauggage was taken to my room, whislt I was offered coffee in the down stairs sitting room. I had only booked 2 nights instead of the 3 required, and this was not a problem. The staff accomodated me with no problem at all.
The rooms I stayed in where fantastic, large, spacious and tastfully decorated. And the bathrooms AMAZING. The bathtubs massive.
Every member of staff was fantastic, from the gentleman who made coffee for me at 545am, when I was heading Shark cage diving, to the assistance with booking tours and ordering food.
The day I checked out the hotel held my bags until late that afternoon, while I explored Cape Town.
I stayed at several other places in Cape Town, but the service never lived up to the standard of the Cape Heritage.

Thank you everyone for making my stay in Cape Town amazing. See you all next year

I have stayed here twice and I enjoyed it both times. The staff are really friendly and helpful and give you lots of good suggestions and advice.
The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. This is a charming property in the city area. We had easy access by car to all the sights and were not far fro the V&A or Camps Bay, so everything was quite accessible.
Breakfast were very good with lots of choices and cheerful service.
The first time I stayed here there were better restaurants attached by the courtyard. This time it looked like some of the better tenants of the courtyard had moved. The only downside is that one of these restaurants run a club/party with loud music on Friday nights and it was pretty noisy, even though the hotel staff try and let you know, the vibrations from the music were frankly a little jarring.
My Husband had to take a rather cold shower as I ran a big, nice hot bath and appeared to have depleted the hot water supply completely.

Room Tip: If you are there on a friday night ask for a room away from the courtyard as its pretty noisy.

This is a lovely boutique hotel. The decoration is great, it is very comfortable, the restaurants around it are delicious and all of the people who work there are very friendly and will do anything for you. Some friends that where staying at another hotel near the Waterfront said that they wished they had stayed in our hotel.
