Owner description: The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast. Through displays ranging from the small and almost fantastical Knysna seahorses, to sea turtles and shoals of shimmering fish, the Aquarium holds wondrous discoveries around every corner. Come face-to-face with giant spider grabs and have an adventurous tactile experience at the Touch Pool. Be sure to visit the I&J Ocean Exhibit, with its 9m long window, and 10m long full tunnel. Qualified divers can also make use of the opportunity to dive in this exhibit with shoals of fish and turtles. The Jelly gallery is sure to mesmerize and enthral.

“Must visit!”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

Probably the best aquarium in the world. Great fun and a great day out. We went here on our last morning in Cape Town and really left feeling we left the best for last. There were loads of kids there at the time we went as it was a school holiday, but this didn't affect our experience.

A lot of tanks are made so that kids can interact with them in one way or another and offers a lot of fun for kids to play around in and look at the stunning fish that are kept here. It's nice to see an aquarium where they have animals that 'belong' in that country. Most animals are either from one of the oceans or are stranded there by accident, like the penguins that they have there.

Truly an amazing aquarium, they even have a huge tank with turtles, galjoen and sharks, where you can swim in. We spent well over 2 hours walking there and enjoying the tanks.

“well worth a visit”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

The Two Oceans Aquarium is a very interesting and enjoyable experience for adults and children. It is a fantastic educational outing for groups of school children. I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. There is a large underwater section, where one walks in between two huge glass tanks, with large fish and sharks swimming around constantly. It is quite fascinating to see these magnificent sea creatures so up close and personal!

“Still a great show!”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

One of the best aquariums I've visited. Largest too! Great displays with the Sea playing a real time part in the show! Sad that the Penguins had been moved to the smaller area only, sure they prefer the larger section to play around in!

“Nice rainy day activity for the children.”

Lovely activity for a rainy day. Go early so that it is not too busy.

The aquarium could do with some dolphins ( like the one in Durban)
