“One Nighter”
Reviewed 8 May 2013

The rooms were large and comfortable and the bathroom clean and very big - plenty of towels, comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and efficient and the cost included breakfast which was an added bonus. The location is great and even though the lift is fairly small, it worked well. Will definitely use the hotel again as it was good value for money.

The facility has a good comparative advantage. Well located, especially near the CTICC which I believe has a lot of activity through out the year. Rooms comfortable though it would add value to improve on the size of TV, availability of Wifi, place small but things that matter such as the toilet brush. The lift needs a bit of a revamp. It's a bit scary. Otherwise breakfast is tops! However you need to work on the Hollow on the Square block. It is not pleasant to enter and realize street kids and. Adults actually are all over. And scaring enough, the reception is far away and no security. All the time I went in and out no one ever paid attention. The would has changed guys you can't just take security for granted.
Otherwise thank you for offering a roof over my head. I believe next time I come I will get what I read on the website.

Room Tip: Well know only one room with window facing the front precinct but was fine.

Good day Eunice,

Thank you for responding, just to let you know that we have changed over to FREE internet as we speak.
Tv's also being upgraded to larger. We do have armed response and CCTV cameras and also security in the square. I think reception might have been not active enough, thank for this and we will look into this.
Hope to see you again soon.

Kind Regards,

Ewald Fendler

Location is good. The bathrooms and the lifts need a revamp. Otherwise comfortable. The hotel has no parking facility so you have to pay for parking. There is no free wi-fi in the rooms but the hotel allows you to use the business centre at no charge

Hotels is in a convenient location within city. Parking is paid (not managed by hotel). Breakfast was ok. Service was not too great.

Room was decent. No real issues but nothing special to speak about either.

No preparation with staff to ensure rooms ready on time. it took 3 hours to get our room. Were told family room, but just 2 extra beds in a standard room. Guess travel agent made their New Year's eve quite profitable. Family of four but got No extra linens. Not even hand towels. Had to literally beg for it every morning. Breakfast buffet was half empty without any replinshments. Non-smoking rooms literally felt as smoking rooms. Becoz as admitted by staff... the exhaust fans are put off during the evening until sunrise. Every night we had to open up all windows and door to ventilate and spray room freshners (Thankfully available). TV was not operational. Stayed 4 nights; but no one turned up for repairs... why we stayed for 4 nights yet, it was new years' eve and prices were all thru the roof... here too paid plenty; got nothing!!

Worst experience in my life. Dirty WC uppon arrival, no towels during 3 days, staff used my wife hairbrush, showers flooded, elevators didn't work most of the days, poor security at front door, lacks general cleaning and Management did nothing to remediate these issues. The main entrance from the parking is a allay street with homeless people sleeping at night.

Checked in to find the room not made up with evidence of the previous occupants clearly visible. Wifi just does not work in the rooms despite the website saying it does. Shower flooded, no towels until I asked. No fridge, no hair dryer. Avoid!
