It was a very bad experience. The bed is very small. The room is dirty. I do not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. The environment all around is very weird and dirty, there is a lot of beggar and prostitute.

Bathroom handles are coming off, bedroom lights burnt out (not replaced for a period of 6 nights), power sockets not working and the day we were checking out, no one informed us of the checking out time. We had to pay an extra of ZAR600 due to the checking out time had expired. Avoid at all cost...

Stayed for one night in executive club suite, what a disappointment. Everything is falling apart in the rooms. As we entered the room there was water dripping from the ceiling wetting the carpet, still waiting for them to come sort something out...Asked for ice and after waiting 30 minutes went to fetch it myself. The room had downstairs with an ancient couch and two chairs, min fridge that looked like it would fall over and kettle with one cup for two people? Tried taking a bath but the plug didnt work and all the water ran out. Shower tiles on the floor lifting and water running away from drain so water clogs up on one side.No hot water the afternoon but next morning it worked but getting water setting right was tricky either too hot or too cold. Bed was rock hard and so thin. TV was so tiny and did not match for the distance from the bed. The rooms need a drastic make over. Its a pace that you want to get out of as soon as possible, and we were. breakfast is a tiny area and staff cant even understand English properly. had to wait 15 minutes for fried eggs, the rest was the usual hot and cold options and terrible coffee. Watch out for the so called shared parking, that they don't manage, you will be charged by someone when leaving. The area is not that great with many hawkers storing their goods in close proximity so you will hear the loud noises and screams outside. We were on the third floor but seemed like they right outside our window. We got the Manager after check out and told him of all our concerns, needless to say he had nothing to say, not even an apology...Area is not great. I'm a local and if you are a tourist looking for central location, this is not it, its not very safe walking around this location at night, even early morning over weekends. We had to help a tourist walking the streets Saturday morning from a persistent beggar who was being harassed. If you have to stay in the CBD, try something closer to Greenmarket Square, otherwise Greenpont or Sea Point.

Room Tip: Don't stay here

Nice clean boutique hotel in center of town
Close to shopping and buses
Excellent breakfast and cozy bar with an excellent beer on Tap.
Rooms were big with nice amenities
Only drawback was in finding place
It is in a courtyard off the Main Street
With no signage on street it was very hard to find
Drove by it 4 times in rental car
Not cool when you are new to city and driving on the other side of street
Had to stop a person on street to look it up on his phone
Or would get 5 stars

Good location, fair breakfast and reasonable price. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable (so was the bathroom). Don’t forget to take your own power outlet adaptor (my universal adaptor couldn’t fit in South African outlets, and the hotel didn’t have enough devices to lend to the guests). There were some insects inside the room, but that was easily sorted out.
