Having high expectations of the Daily Deli is unreasonable. It's a laid back, neighbourhood local that presents you with a lazy urban sit down over a not-too-fussy meal and a coffee or some wine and olives. It is what it is - and there's not much else to it.

There's nothing better than siting on the pavement in summer and watching the world go by.

The Daily Deli is about to undergo a makeover in order to return it to its former glory - and it will be called Blue Cafe with a host of neighbourly offerings in the pipeline. The description of what is going to take place sounds interesting, and as locals who frequent the place we are somewhat excited, and somewhat sad. We hope that it will retain its laid back, unpretentious feel and continue offering us an easy place for unwinding after a hard day in the city.

Today was the last time that we will eat at the Daily Deli - the food is terrible! Our margherita pizza was made with sweet bread dough & the cheese included what tasted like cheddar cheese. The salad was a mishmash of ingredients & looked as though a child had made it. The service was extremely slow although the staff were very nice & helpful. The shop & kitchen were full of flies. What a pity as it has charm & potential & is in a beautiful area.

it was close to my hotel and was good for take away, but for the price i've paid for a veggie plate i could have taken a nice fish in a proper restaurant

We were told to go here for pizzas since it was right around the corner from where we were staying. Great cozy place, very local and really recommended ...

We just fancied a milkshake so stopped by here as big crowds really aren't our thing. Sat outside with strawberry milkshakes in the sunshine. They pull down blinds in the evening when it gets cold so you can keep warm. Lovely friendly service. Would definitely recommend if you want something to eat and drink outside of the hustle and bustle of the city centre.
