I stayed here with a group of friends for 5 nights in June and everyone loved this place. This was our first time in Cape Town, so we weren't sure what to expect, but this hotel exceeded our expectations. The location was great - lots of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance or a short cab ride to the waterfront. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel and the service and rooms were great. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Cape Town. It was also a great value for the money.

I along with my husband checked into An African villa in the last week of June and I think we did the right thing. The rooms, lounges, wi-fi, decor & breakfast were perfect....The location is great and you get all the support from the team for moving around capetown & also organising tours etc. Let me come to the best part now, Keith, Cindy, Louis & Jimmy are angels sent from heaven! yes yes they are and they go all out to make you feel comfortable and answer all your queries. We would surely like to revisit capetown and stay in An African Villa all over again, complete Value for money...what a fantastic experience!

This is a beautiful Guest House in an area where it is safe to walk to and from and from fantastic restaurants for dinner at night.

Fantastic breakfasts, coffee and tea in your room which is large with a gorgeous bathroom and soft fluffy towels
. Port and sherry are available gratis while you sit in the comfortable lounge room reviewing your days activities or planning your next Cape Town Adventure.
Cindy and Keith were fabulous hosts and were only too happy to advise you on any queries that you had.
The Millers Thumb and Opal Lounge were two local restaurants that we walked to and from at night. Both lovely places with fresh local food, and not over the top expensive.

It was an easy walk into the central city area, about 1km walk.
You won't be disappointed stay here.

Room Tip: Its a quiet street. No noise.

Loved everything about An African Villa: the huge, comfortable beds, the marble bathrooms with soaking tubs, the yummy breakfasts, the impeccable decorations, the warm common areas to relax in after a long day of sight-seeing. The best four things about an African Villa, however, are hands down the owners: Jimmy, Louis, Cindy and Keith. Every one of them were incredibly kind, had great recommendations for delicious meals in this San Francisco-like neighborhood and just made every guest feel welcome and special.

I've stayed at hotels every night for the past 2.5 months as I make my way around the world. An African Villa is at the very top of my best hotel experiences list.

It took me a while to get around to writing this; please don't hold that against the hotel. My boyfriend and I loved this place! Clean, quiet, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, cake in the afternoons, port in the evenings, help-yourself fridge. . . I could go on and on. Stop looking for anywhere else to stay in CPT and just book a room there. You won't be disappointed.
