We visited Blackheath this past week and if we ever return to Capetown we would not stay anywhere else. It was amazing - the food was delicious, the service was just right and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. We just want to say how wonderful Jean Claude and Charle were - they took great care of us. No request was too much. Thank you again for a terrific four days. Jennifer and Elly

Stayed here recently on a wedding weekend and my partner and I were so impressed.
Service from the very start was impeccable and they made you feel like royalty and nothing was too much trouble.
The food at the wedding was exquisite and the whole weekend was amazing. We felt very safe and very relaxed. Recommend highly.

My 19 year old daughter and I spent 4 nights here before heading out for a week at Krueger - totally loved it! The decor is Anthropologie quirky in a most comfortable way, breakfasts were delicious, staff incredibly friendly and helpful (make sure and meet Jean-Claude!) and our accommodations delightful. Beautiful residential-like area within walking distance of waterfront (day time). I hope to return to incredible Cape Town and I would definitely stay here when I do.

We visited Cape Town in April 2014 and spent a week at Blackheath Lodge. The staff are friendly and worked together whatever their roles. Anthony was a charming and hospitable host who was genuinely interested to arrange tour or taxis or whatever you needed. We had the loft room and the balcony view was awesome. Breakfast was also delicious. Here they really understand what guests want, a mixture of home from home without being intrusive. This is also a good central location.

Room Tip: The loft room has two double beds. It is open plan so would suit a family. The balcony is fabulous...

My wife and I were in Cape Town a few weeks ago. Blackheath was a wonderful guesthouse. We enjoyed our entire time from beginning to end. All of the staff is extremely hospitable and the breakfasts were delicious and very filling. The guesthouse has various common areas, a bar, a dining room a several sitting rooms in addition to your room. These spaces provide a nice at home feel. We came with a few plans set, but used numerous recommendations from the concierge from restaurants to activities. We found their advice spot on and very helpful. We would definitely come back next time we are in Cape Town. The only downside is that you might not ever want to venture outside if you stay here because its so relaxing and comfortable!

My daughter and I stayed here on a recent visit to Cape Town and were totally impressed by Blackheath Lodge. The owners and staff certainly understand the concept of hospitality, as they did everything possible to ensure that our stay was most pleasant. Our room was very comfortable and well-appointed, and the meals and amenities were excellent. The staff was very helpful in recommending and arranging reservations at local restaurants, and for recommending local attractions. Thank you thank you thank you! I have already recommended Blackheath Lodge to several friends who are traveling to South Africa.

We have travelled the world extensively and Blackheath Lodge ranks as one of the best places where we have stayed. Anthony was a charming host and the service of staff was exceptional.
Our room was spacious and comfortable with high quality fittings. What sets this place apart from others is the feeling of being in a home with comforts and extras such as a welcoming communal sitting room and home baked cakes and biscuits available during the day. This is a place we would unreservedly recommend to all our friends.
