“Brilliant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2014

It's so great to try a new spot and be impressed. The decor was modern yet comfortable and intimate. Vibe is busy, trendy, funky, food is delicious. I have been twice in a week and both times the food was impressive. Green bean, artichoke, feta and almond salad with goats cheese and croutons; red and yellow beetroot salad with basil and boiled egg; tuna tartare; feta, mint, watermelon and olive salad; malai koftas with rice and sambals;tender and juicy pork belly with sweet potatoe; grilled veg on perfect polenta; flat iron steak and lamb stew. All fantastic . And I have yet to get to dessert !

“Little gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2014 via mobile

Came upon this place while trying to book a place last minute on a Sunday. Seated at the window with amazing views over table mountain. The manager was a perfect host who came around to our table a few times to chat and see how things were going. The waiter was attentive, never a long wait for anything, and the menu...what can one say about a menu as imaginative as that! Pork loin with capers, anchovies and tuna sauce! Beautifully done calamari and red pepper salad! The most succulent pork belly I've ever had! A wonderful wine selection of local wines! Light and chocolately brownies! And in true style, we were the last to leave, yet never felt rushed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxed, yet fine dining experience. Can't believe it hasn't already got a long waiting list to get in.

“Very pleasant experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2014

We had a spontaneous late lunch at the Black Sheep, which is close to the guest house we stayed at. Apparently, the place just recently opened. The service was very well organized and very friendly. Most of all, the food was delicious - we had the Asian beef salad and the Black Sheep Burger and enjoyed it very much. Would we recommend the place to our friends? Definitely yes!
