Walking in to an empty restaurant should have been warning enough. The food was bland, a mass of rice with meat.

The owners kid ran in and out with her buddy, followed thereafter by a stray cat who chased a cockroach.

We requested for sauce to add to the otherwise dry dish; we found out when the bill arrived that we were charged for the sauce.
Upon requesting the bill, we were told apologetically that there were no card machines.Particularly off putting to have gratuity automatically added to the bill.

Will not return or recommend.

What a pity. Let's start with the food. It was GREAT!! No kidding, it was fabulous. But it took almost an hour and a half for the food to appear and then one of the meals never made it. So the good news was the food was certainly fresh. They have been open six months and still have some wrinkles to iron out. I felt bad for them. The restaurant had about three tables occupied so service should not have been a problem. What was surprising was how empty the restaurant was for 8:30 pm on a Saturday night but the owner said it was not usual; they had been busy until the beginning of that week. It may have been that it was a long weekend. The setting is very nice. The music was so so.

I may give them another chance because the food was good and, maybe, they had a bad night

No Parking, dirty floors, no entertainment, not the best food, VERY slow service and not busy at all, cutlery is not changed between starters and mains as they prefer that you re-use the cutlery. I'm so disappointed by this restaurant. Expect to pay about R400 for 2 people but this was an absolute waste of money. Worst CBD restaurant experience ever.

The service was slow and at the time it was not busy. The food was bland and below average. I will not return and will not recommend it to friends. :(
They also have very poor parking. We had to park quite a far way on a road above a steep hill. It's a steep uphill walk in the dark back to your car!

I did not enjoy the food at Persian Restaurant. Tasteless, cold started. Watery soup and horrible main course (rubbery, scant pieces of lamb!). Service was poor - waiter forgot orders, was clearly overwhelmed.
