This B&B had the best aspects of a hotel and the best aspects of a B&B. Our room was exceptionally comfortable with brand new furniture and decoration along with a stunning balcony view of Capetown. The room had its own bathroom which looked more like a large bathroom in a very fancy home. The fixtures, decoration and style were ultra modern and high end. Just the room and bathroom were beautiful and comfortable enough to be featured among the pages of a decoration magazine. The downstairs common areas of the living room and outdoor pool and breakfast area were akin to a comfy and cozy restaurant. It had such a relaxing atmosphere and ambiance that made us feel like we were staying at our own summer home. The owners, Dominic and Allen, were the most enjoyable and pleasant company. They were just as much gracious hosts, as they were friends. Their attitude was positive, humble, and very genuine. None of our extensive interactions felt force or like a chore in any way. Instead it felt as if they genuinely enjoyed our company and were interested in our life stories, to the extent of whatever we cared to share. We left this wonderful place hoping that our stay was longer and that it was much closer to our actual home.

This place is suitable for couples but not for families.

The complimentary breakfast in the morning was something that we looked forward with great excitement. The food was so incredibly fresh and high quality and made to order with great attention to detail. I could've eaten breakfast here for several weeks and never have gotten bored of it or disappointed. They could easily run a successful breakfast restaurant in the same manner and style if they so chose.

I have no criticism or complaints, only praises for this B&B. I highly recommend it, especially if you enjoy the feel of B&B hotels. This one will not disappoint.

We stayed at Twenty Two for five nights and found it a perfect base from which to explore Cape Town. Allen and Dominic are the perfect hosts--Allen was full of tips and advice about great places to go, and Dominic was equally attentive to our needs and questions. They have the happy knack for being chatty when you feel chatty and knowing when to let you do your own thing. The housekeeping staff was lovely, as well, and our room was always in perfect shape. We stayed in the "penthouse", two levels which lent an air of privacy and seclusion as well as ensuring we had an amazing view. Breakfasts were always perfectly cooked and served on the lanai, except on one blustery morning. The pool was immaculate, and very welcome on a hot afternoon. The location is terrific as we could walk right down into the city centre.

We stayed at Twenty Two for our final three nights in Cape Town and loved it. The room was beautiful, with panoramic views out across the city to the sea (particularly impressive at night), a very large, very comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Dominic and Allan were extremely helpful, from booking us restaurants and taxis, to giving recommendations on where to go and what to do, to making us pots of tea and providing friendly conversation about Marmite and London, one pair of expat Brits to another! The breakfasts were delicious and featured some of the most perfectly poached eggs I've ever had. The area was also lovely - leafy streets with a small weekend farmer's market selling fruit and veg at the end of the road, and a short and pleasant walk downhill to the Long Street and Company Gardens area.

Two weeks on and I'm still thinking longingly of our Cape Town holiday - our stay at Twenty Two definitely contributed to making it so wonderful.

Just finished a lovely breakfast in this beautiful house. We spent 4 nights here and had a wonderful stay. Dominic, the host, was very accommodating and helpful with advice and information. The room was spacious and very well appointed. It is on a lovely area and only a 15 min walk to the centre. Well recommended.

Who needs the traditional hotel experience in Cape Town, when you can stay at Twenty Two? From touch down to take off, Allen and Dom, took wonderful care of us, including our sick friend who stayed in one evening. The rooms are impeccably designed, the overall property quaint and intimate, and the owners and their staff made us feel like family. Allen & Dom went above and beyond to ensure our stay in cape Town was unforgettable...including my birthday...they granted my wish of wanting to experience the legendary Malva pudding one more time. Their recommendations were customized to all that we expressed we were interested in. They validated all of our restaurant reservations and ensured our shopping excursions were bountiful! And all of this, they did with such a warm spirit and humor that will soon draw us back to their beautiful city and their stylish oasis in the midst of it all. I just recently re-read my text exchanges with Allan during our trip and was reminded of how one-of-a-kind the proprietors are, and how special the 22 experience is. I can't recommend this property enough to anyone passing through Cape Town!

Room Tip: The rooms with a view are stunning! And the shower....Amazing!
