Cool place. We arrived early as we heard it can fill up quickly and the kitchen closes at 8. We were able to get a seat at 530 and the place was packed by 6.
Started with oysters which were large and fresh.
First three dishes were a salmon brandade with chips, tuna tartare and lightly fried squid. Then came onion risotto (highlight) and roasted cauliflower tart. Last three dishes which came together were 1) thinly sliced springbok, seared, served with radish and pickled shiitake (my favorite), 2) lamb with butternut puree, 3) miso fish cakes.
Restaurant was casual and fun. Waiter knew every ingredient in detail and service was great.
The cost for the tasting menu was 650 (everything excluding oysters) which was incredible value given the amount of energy and expertise that clearly went into the meal.
