my wife and i usually abstain from writing reviews, especially as many times lodging or restaurants fail to impress our admittedly picky, new york-tuned expectations. but 2inn1 was such a highlight of our recent trip to south africa (indeed of all our travels) that we had to sing its praises.

klaus and christoph have deftly succeeded in creating the impossible: a chic, urbane, yet warm and friendly guesthouse. the attention to detail and finishing touches at 2inn1 speak for themselves (the interior design could easily be featured in an issue of metropolitan home) but what really distinguished our stay was the service. zenobia, kenneth, sadika, et al: the entire staff treat guests with an air of genuine warmth and friendliness that emanates from the owners themselves. speaking of which, they are quite the tandem: klaus is incredibly considerate and a wealth of local knowledge, perfectly balanced by chris' gregarious, cheerful nature. wonderful hosts.

i should also mention the pool. we struggled to find a genuine (i.e., not an oversized bathtub masquerading as a plunge pool) in the city bowl district at a quality hotel. sure, there are some in camp's bay or the southern suburbs but then you're not walking to kloof street. well 2inn1's pool area is fantastic. i can't think of a more relaxing way to cool off after a long hike or laze away a holiday afternoon than lounging around poolside.

we had a truly delightful stay at 2inn1 and in our opinion, it's the only place to stay when in cape town. can't wait to return.

2inn1 is a great place to stay. Rooms are very stylish and modern; very individual and tailored service and great staff; great to relax with nice pools; located in residential area at the bottom of Table mountain. Great views. Delicious continental breakfast. We will be back.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location of Cape Town. It's a 10-15 minute stroll to the restaurants of Kloof Street and is in a really nice location.

We had booked Derwent House Hotel for our first two nights in Cape Town and had hoped to book in there for our last two nights. However, we could only book in for our last night so ended up staying at 2inn1 for the other night. We had raved about Derwent House but this hotel was just as good. The service was great and we were offered complementary drinks as soon as we arrived. We came back from an evening out to find chocolates and water by our bed. These little touches make this hotel a great choice.

The breakfast was also very good - cooked breakfasts are available but we found the cold buffet selection more than enough with lots of tempting, good quality food.

If you want somewhere that's a bit more personalised but still want to stay in a modern hotel, this is definately the place for you. I would definately recommend 2inn1.

We ended staying here quite by chance during our honeymoon, when our original accommodation became unavailable.

We arrived at 2 Inn 1 after a long flight and were met by Klaus, Christoph and Sadika. We were given a warm welcome and offered an array of drinks but could only manage an OJ. Our suitcases were lifted in for us.

Klaus showed us a choice of rooms , both of which were very nice.We chose the luxury room upsairs with a balcony overlooking the pool.We had a wonderful view of Lion's Head.

The room itself was beautifully decorated, with all amenities and perfect for honeymooners. The bathroom was modern, high spec and spotless. The attention to detail throughout the property was amazing. Decor throughout was contempoary with african touches.

What really stood for me was the warmth and friendliness of our hosts and their staff. Klaus gave us recommendations about about Cape Towns attractions and eating out, all of which were excellent. Nothing was too much bother for our hosts. It is easy to relax in such an environment.

There is a lovely outdoor area with Jacuzzi and swimminmg pool and sun loungers.

Breakfasts were excellent, plenty of choice with a cooked breakfast availlable every morning. The Breakfast could also be taken out in the sun.Every morning we were greeted by happy, smiling staff, which is a good indicator of the establishment.

We enjoyed chatting to the other guests in the comfortable sitting room.It was nice to be able to share in other peoples experiences of Cape Town,

I have stayed in many hotels and guest houses but 2 Inn1 is so good I had to write a review on Trip Advisor. This was the benchmark for accommodation during our stay in S.Africa. We'll be back!

2inn1 is the perfect place to stay when discovering Cape Town. Good location, great house - boys you've done an excellent job with that one - and most importantly the friendliest staff and hosts you could wish for
