“Lovely place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2013

I was in Loloho Lodge for 6 days in february. And i could not have chosen a nicer place. The room was very comfortable, nice bed, nice bathroom, good Wifi. The outside place is also very nice for relaxing, with a good size swimmingpool and enough place for sun or shade. Breakfast was really good, with fresh bread and lots of fruit. Frank and Simon are simply great hosts. The location of the lodge is also perfect, seapoint has nice restaurants so no need to go downtown in the evening. I would definitely recommend the lodge to friends.

We were at the Loloho lodge one night and we really liked it. Its location is perfect: in a small and quite street in the great area of Sea Point, walking distance from the ocean promenade, great both for the city centre and to visit the coast. Our room was nocely decorated, comfortable and very clean - same for the bathroom. Good to have free Wi-Fi. The garden / patio is very relaxing with fantistic plants and a nice swimming pool. The owners are excellent host. The breakfast (in the patio or inside - at your choice) is very well prepared and includes lots of fresh fruits, cheese, eggs, cereals, bread, croissants... The only remark is that there is no much privacy between the rooms.

I had a lovely stay at Loloho Lodge, which is ideally located for both the coast and the city centre. It is a really sweet guest house with great outdoor space and run with both efficiency and friendliness.

Loloho lodge is in Sea Point which is the perfect location in cape town..We stayed for 7 nights! It is in a quite street very close to everything.. 2 min to the main road, 3 minutes to the promenade! The place itself is great. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom really spacious and the communal areas are also very beautiful and very well kept. Every room has it private entrance which is great. Parking space is available and very secure. Wifi works really well. The owners are great and nothing is too much trouble for them! We had a great stay! I will definitely go back to loloho lodge any time I am in Cape town! Highly highly recommended!

Many thanks again to the reviewer for taking the time to comment and giving us 5 stars, we cannot be as bad as it appears from the review? It really is appreciated! Unfortunately comments on reviews tend to be longer than the review itself as they need explanations, sorry about that!
I am surprised that they mentioned lack of vegetables for breakfast, it is not our norm to serve them but there were 8 different kinds of fresh fruit to choose from!! However, why did they not request some after their 1st meal??
There is secure off street parking for at least 5 cars which is a luxury in the area and perfectly adequate for our size of guest house.
Wi-Fi is available in every room but in their particular one the signal is not so strong which I mentioned, but we do have in all the rooms, a broadband cable connection, plus we have a spare wireless point we could have lent them if they had brought the problem to our notice. These particular guests actually spent most of the time at breakfast using their computers!. Cold outside? Wish we could control the weather
Finally, very, very small room? The guests booked the cheapest room, a standard double so obviously it would be smaller than others available but the problem was really caused by them having 4 pieces of large luggage. They did not use the wardrobe or the storage area but insisted on opening all the baggage and leaving them and the contents spread around the room and even used the dressing table, chairs and luggage racks for additional space for more items, clothes were everywhere. It was extremely difficult to service the room. Hence no wonder they thought it small. No other guests have complained about that room, in fact with some it is their favourite.

We had an amazing stay at Loloho Lodge. The place is very clean and the owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The City Center and Waterfront are very close to the Lodge and you will be there within 10 minutes. We enjoyed the great hospitality and the delicious breakfast. Thanks to Frank and Simon for that beautiful stay. See you again in a couple of months.

This place is well situated, Loloho Lodge is on a small quiet side street away from the noisy busy traffic roads you find elsewhere, but close enough to the main road for local shopping, some great eating places plus taxis etc to take one in a few minutes to the Waterfront or City Centre. An extra couple hundred meters brings one to the invigorating promenade.
The Guest House is basically a Bed and Breakfast with extras, (not to mistake it for an Hotel) beautiful clean rooms all complete with chairs to relax, large desk/ dressing table, LCD TV and DVD, fridge, safe and tea & coffee (they also offer fresh milk and alternative teas for the discerning). In the winter, I am assured, heaters are supplied plus the ultimate luxury, an electric blanket!! Outside is an extensive patio to relax with a lovely swimming pool large enough to have a good swim and do your morning lengths, not the plunge pool types you see at other B&B's I've been to.
This is all surrounded by a potted plant collage with an array of hibiscus like I have never seen in a private garden?
Breakfast is a delectable feast with a large bowl of fresh fruit beautifully cut up and displayed, when I was there I saw 12 different but I am told the maximum counted is 15!! There are of course cereals, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit juice plus a bread basket with assorted fresh rolls, breads and croissants. For those still hungry, bacon and eggs can be produced!
Frank, the owner who looks after front of house is a mindful of local information, recommendations and ideas for that day out. He has great support from his colleague who looks after the rooms, (the walk in shower was a bonus) outside areas and kitchen.
All in all I thoroughly recommend Loloho Lodge. This time it was a flying visit on business, I will return soon for a holiday!!

Room Tip: I was in room 1 which looked over the patio towards the swimming pool.
