We (7) spent two weeks in cape town, arriving very late and leaving very late. The owner (Tobias) was very accomodating, despite several issues encountered (house is a bit tired - and is planned to be refurbished in the coming months).
Matthew, the housekeeper, was attentive and helpful.
The Kitchen is well equipped. The four Bedrooms were comfortable, with the master bedroom being next to the pool upstairs. Wifi did not work in the beginning, but very well after a few days (does not work in master bedroom).
Private Parking is a big plus.
Location fom beach was 2 minutes; downtown 5 minutes; camps bay 10 minutes; table mountain 15 minutes; waterfront 5 minutes; golf 5 minutes. You can hike to/from lion's head from the house.
Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Grocery stores also within 5 minutes.
Overall, i would have given three stars, were it not for the effort by matthew and tobias to to get things sorted quickly.
I expect that after reburbishment the house and location will have a five star rating. We would stay here again.
Tobias/matthew... thanks for a pleasant stay.
The location is convenient to the waterfront and also the centre of CapeTown and there is off street parking. The property is however very old fashioned and needs a large amount of refurbishment. On arrival there were more than a few things we had to have put right. The other thing which concerns me about this property is that the steps and pathway from the garage down to the back door is very uneven and could be dangerous
