The place is enticing. There is a large area with a lot of seats and decoration. The meal is served under a tent and is buffet style. We were there with a group for lunch. The food included a lot of wild game, african dishes but also offered salads, vegetable choices and soup plus multiple desserts. Face painting was offered for a tip and there was some music. It was a nice experience but the food, while plentiful, was not to our taste.

A waste of an evening! They ran out of sauces after serving the first 4 diners. The game steaks, a house speciality was tough, stringy and tasteless. The cooks in attendance was indifferent. I waited 5 minutes for salt that I requested.
The background music was so loud, the waiters had a problem hearing what we wanted. A 10 minute wait before the wrong wine appeared.
The bathroom was untidy and unattended.
I am, and my guests are thoroughly disappointed with the entire Moyo experience.

Went here with a group of friends to do something a bit different. We were given a secluded table up some wooden steps in the trees, which was different for a start! All the tables I saw were in the open air so would be a good idea to take mosquito spray.

The experience we had was really good. Servers would regularly come up to take drinks orders, and before the meal we were all offered African styled face paintings for a bit of fun. During the meal we had a also quartet of African dressed guys singing a song (in the jungle, the mighty jungle...) getting the whole table involved.

The food was a buffet, with a great selection of grilled/stewed meats, fish, salads, etc. and was of a good quality considering it was a buffet. Vegetarian options were also available.

We booked a private table at Moyo Spier yet when we arrived we were seated in the main dining area where the music was so loud that we could hardly make conversation. The service was terrible and they seemed to be out of stock of the most basic things. When we ordered a bottle of wine it was out of stock, this happened twice and at the end of the evening when we wanted to order a night cap the whisky was out of stock too. The food was below average, the oxtail potjie resembled a soup rather than a potjie and the steaks were tough and difficult to eat. Overall not good value for money.

We had a large group come here for our final meal. Loved having the white face paint done (washed off easily and you don't have to do it if you don't want to). You can cozy up with blankets they provide. Enjoy the live performances and eat some great food! Slightly upscale.
