I joined two friends for a meal last night and was hugely impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. We shared the risotto and gnocchi starters and I don't think I've ever tasted better! Two of us had kingklip as our main course and the other chap had the lamb cutlets. All excellent. The restaurant is small (about 7 tables) and the service is personal .......and there's never any doubt that the food is being prepared by a master chef. The decor is simply white and though on first impression looks a bit like a bland hotel dining room, the ambiance is discrete and cosy. They have recently got a liquor licence and the wine list features some quality local and Italian wines. I look forward to returning for another meal.

For reasons unknown, at a top class Italian Restaurant, all of us had lamb cutlets, except one opting for kingklip! The food was great in all respects, and the service was first class. However, we did not know their was only a wine licence, so - no whisky! Anyway we polished off two bottles of excellent wine. No whisky was our only disappointment in an otherwise happy evening. Yes, we'll be back - for Italian next time!

Fillet was awesomely mouth watering & tender, Lamb was delicious!!
Although Amore now has a wine Licence we opted to open our Graham Beck Brut Zero which was yum!! We then enjoy a glass of the house red, it's delicious! Local I believe!!
The Vodka sorbet was outstanding to end with!!
We always love our treat with Dessy & Kiko!

We really enjoyed our meal here as well as the service from a very charming and efficient Lawrence. The food is great, you can bring your own wine and no corkage is charged. Honesty, this is a place to have dinner at every single time you don't feel like cooking. It unpretentious, cosy, with consideration for the acoustics (amazing! some top restaurants have not even woken up to this yet), you are welcomed warmly and not ripped off. This restaurant puts many of those fancy , showy places in Cape Town to shame. Go there and have a lovely meal.
