“Enchantingly beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 March 2014

I have just returned from spending two nights at this lovely Guest House, set in the most enchanting gardens and situated just outside Kirstenbosch Gardens. I received a great welcome, and felt very much at home. My room had all amenities, including a bar fridge, and a breathtaking view of the grounds. The owner was very kind, showing me around the place, joining me at breakfast time, and even lending me a free pass into Kirstenbosch Gardens, where I spent the day on Wednesday. There is a big comfortable lounge with many books available for guests to read, and they even offered to light the fire for me! Nothing was too much trouble, and I was sorry when it was time to leave. I certainly intend to go back.

Room Tip: As far as I can tell, all rooms are simply wonderful, with great views.

We stayed here for 3 days in December. A very well run b&b with great scenery, very conveniently located for visiting Kirstenbosch, which is only about 10 minutes walking distance. The owner Tim (friendly and funny man) takes all the time for his guests, giving you a tour of his property with great pride and makes you feel comfortable and at home whiteout being pushy. He gave us dozens of excellent tips for sightseeing and good restaurants. He even hoists the flag for you, making you feel welcome!
Although the room and bathroom are a bit outdated, it was well cleaned every day and has everything you need (hair dryer, safe, coffee & tea making facilities, free wireless internet etc.).
We were lucky to find a friendly and easy going couple from the UK at our breakfast table in the morning, to have a little chat with. All in all we had a great time there and felt safe.

We stayed for 2 nights in this very nice guest house.Because our flight left at midnight, they offered us to stay in our room as long as we wanted, so we could use the shower and the beds; they even cleaned the rooms and we didn't have to pay for this. There was also a very big lounge and an nice swimming pool. Our room had a very big balcony with lazy chairs; a table and chairs to sit and we could use plates etc. to eat there.

Room Tip: Our room (with 2 single beds) was a little bit more expensive, but offered a deal more, esp. the big...

Wonderful position albeit really in Bishopscourt next to Constantia. Tim is a great and most attentive host - nothing is too much trouble for him and his lovely staff. Perfect breakfasts. Gorgeous gardens and bird life not to mention the fantastic size and quality proteas. We loved our most comfortable stay at KB with excellent restaurants within easy reach.

Room Tip: Our lovely room on 1st floor looked across garden towards Muizenberg and with a peek up to Constanti...

Recently stayed with our 3 young boys. Klein Bosheuwel is perfectly located, central to Cape Town proper, Constantia Valley and the Cape itself. Tim and staff were wonderful friendly hosts, offering great tips and suggested itineraries for where to eat, what to see, etc. The three dogs: Feather, Solo and Mia were great to entertain the kids. Morning breakfasts are made to order British-style and substantial. We stayed in the seperate Southdown Cottage: large, quiet with wonderful views overlooking the Valley and Cape. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Southdown Cottage is perfect for familes with children. Quiet, beautiful views, spacious.

Four of us stayed for 2 weeks in the two bedroom cottage in the grounds of the guest house where we enjoyed a hearty full breakfast each morning in the company of the owner, Tim Scarborough, who could not do enough for us recommending places to visit and eat. The cottage could be described as home from home, was cleaned each day with fresh bedding and had all you needed including TV and WIFI and equipped kitchen which formed part of the spacious living area. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom with excellent shower. The only downside was that the second bedroom is accessed via a passage way through the 1st one, although if you wished, there was an outside door you could use to gain access to the living area via the veranda, if you did not want to disturb the people in bedroom one. I think Tim maybe having thoughts about changing this arrangement.
The veranda had impressive views over Contantia valley to The Table Mountain range and the sea. The gardens of over 2 acres are well maintained and contain two good size swimming pools for your enjoyment and include steamer loungers to sunbathe on. A gas BBQ is available. We had a fabulous holiday at this location and were treated by Tim and his staff more as friends rather than guests.
