By pure chance I spent a Friday afternoon at this wonderful wine farm. What spectacular views, you just sit back and happily soak it all in! The wine is lovely, I particularly enjoyed the Three and Saddle, both red wines.

The food is a variety of platters and very yummy they are. We had the cheese and charcuterie platter which was a generous portion with a crispy warm baguette, rooibos jelly, Apple, pear and olives. Since it's such a lovely venue you can take your time enjoying the food, sipping your wine and feeling very content!

The service was efficient and friendly, the sommelier was knowledgable about the wines. I would only have liked the option for something a little sweet, there are no puddings on the menu. A little chocolate something would have been perfect with my excellent espresso.

There are many wine farms in the Cape Town area but I would put this one high up on your list. A must visit.

Constantia Glen is in a fantastic setting with wonderful views - a bit of a hidden gem. I haven't eaten there, but really enjoyed wine tasting and there are some great wines to choose from. It is up there with Steenberg vineyard and Groot Constantia for me. 3 very different vineyards in completely different settings.

Not quite the highest altitude vineyard in the Constantia Valley but one of the best for a visit. Great cheese and charcuterie platters and a large wine selection make it a great afternoon out with a great view across the valley to the Indian Ocean.

The view from the restaurant at Constantia Glen is exeptional, which is just as well because one needs something to fill the gaps in the exeptionally slow service.
The sommelier who guided our wine tasting was well meaning but clearly uninformed. He explained that some of the wines were exclusive because they came from corked bottles and did not pick up on the comment that we hoped not. His response was that it was OK because the bottles were now uncorked so that he could pour the wine. The young man had learned his patter but was unable to answer questions. And, to top off a poor experience, the first wine poured for us to taste turned out to be water.
On the positive side the charcuterie and cheese boards that our party of seven shared for lunch were delicious and generous. Three boards with two additional baguettes more than sufficient for a light meal for the seven of us. The charcuterie and cheese both bought in, from the Fat German and Get Stuffed respectively, and the baguettes also bought in from an unknown bakery, were all very good.
Our party all agreed that the charge of R40.00 each to taste six rather average wines was a bit over the top, but then it did save us the cost of purchasing a few bottles of wine that would certainly have disappointed
Apart from the view I cannot think of any reason to return

Stopped here on a whim en route from Hout Bay. So very glad we did. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable about their wines, the vineyard, the harvesting and the process in general. The tasting consisted of 6 wines; 2 white, 1 rose, 3 red. We also took a cheese platter. Exceptional value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon spent in beautiful surroundings.
