One of our all time favourite hotels and restaurants, we had stayed here hlf a dozen times over th last decade.

Ideally situated in the leafy suburbs of Constantia, yet 15 minutes drive to downtown Cape Town.

Close to Kirstenbosch gardens and Klein and Groot Constantia.

Lovely rooms in lush and verdant gardens.

The restaurants are great, the Greenhouse being one of our favourite restaurants in the world - top tip book the Ron table in the three glass sided alcove, it's like eating in a (very comfortable) tree house.

Menus and wine list are both world class.

Rooms ar all great; either splurge of th best with balcony and view in the manor house or go fr the basic.

Room Tip: Go for the best or the cheapest.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hohenort section of The Cellars and we had the most superb experience from the minute we arrived. The staff are incredibly gracious and no request is too large.
Our room was absolutely majestic ,very spacious, beautifully appointed and not a thing was spared for our comfort. The room had a double volume ceiling height and was fronted by large doors and windows opening onto it's own balcony with a magnificent view all the way to False Bay.
We had an absolutely brilliant dinner at their 'Conservatory" restaurant and both the food and the service were truly excellent.
The gardens and surrounds are breathtaking. This Hotel deserves all the accolades it gets as it delivers and over delivers excellence!
A firm favorite for us in the Cape forever.

Room Tip: We loved the grandness of the Hohenort section......our room was on the top floor with a large balco...

The weather broke as I arrived and the rains came which meant I couldn't enjoy the beautiful setting as much as I would like to have done. But the service and food was excellent from beginning to end. The dinner was historic and you do not need to go anywhere else in Constantia.

In the beautiful Constantia valley, this hotel is an all you can eat style location where you need never leave! Sadly I only came here for lunch but discovered they have a spa, cocktail bar, open fire, amazing gardens and beautiful rooms.

Lunch was perfect - friends had the burger which was beautifully presented.

I would definitely come back here and stay in the hotel.

This is surely one of the most beautiful hotels anywhere. Hidden in the Constantia Valley, it is close to the CBD and waterfront but feels like another world. The sprawling property is surrounded by perfectly maintained gardens, whilst the hotel facilities themselves are cleverly worked into the historical buildings. There is great selection of restaurants, and the breakfast in particular is amazing. Despite the historic surroundings, the internet connection is, improbably, amongst the best I have ever used in a hotel anywhere.

Top class in every aspect and most highly recommended.

A beautiful estate set amongst the stunning countryside of Constantia, only a few minutes away from Central Cape Town. An old world property which has been maintained to the highest standard. Old world service with a fantastic selection of top wines. The food was stunning and the whole evening was a great success
A wonderful experience not to be missed when visiting Cape Town

Room Tip: Only ate here. Couldn't get into the restaurant only heading for The conservatory.

Tourists run around the Cape Peninsula at a hectic pace and venture miles driving to outlying villages like Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, when it is ALL right there in the Cape Peninsula. While we have never stayed at the Hotel of this establishment, annually we are drawn to it for a lunch at the splendid Conservatory Restaurant. Allow yourself a little extra time to walk through the magnificent grounds and stand beneath the ancient Camphor trees, part of an avenue that originally ran for miles and is also to be seen in Kirstenbosch.

Everything about this restaurant is tip top and it has won accolades world wide for the quality of the food served. The wine menu makes for interesting reading, never mind the views from the windows and the decisions to be made over what to eat. This is a place for a leisurely gourmet experience and we have never ever been disappointed.

Through the glass walls one may admire the grounds where squirrels and birds abound, and beyond the majestic Table Mountain dominates. The waiters are so well trained and know not to rush the diners. The bread basket is generous but restrain yourself for the meal to follow. Every morsel of food on the plate makes sense - just the most impeccable delicious meal in Cape Town.

I cannot rate this restaurant high enough! We think it is the best in SA and probably one of the best we have ever eaten at in our journey through 69 countries. For Overseas visitors coming to SA, with the rand such a bargain, this must be the ultimate gourmet experience and at minimum prices!
