We went for tea and delicious scones with fresh cream at the resturant! We sat outside overlooking the most beautiful garden with camphor trees. The service is excellent with very friendly staff. Afterwards we explored the fairy tale garden. Worth a look!

What a gem! - I have just returned for a 3 day stay with my Mum at this magical hotel, an incredible setting and wonderful staff. The gardens are beautiful and the rooms are spacious and magnificent - we were lucky enough to have a room on the 2nd floor with a terrace and sweeping views of the gardens, wineries and all the way to the ocean ! It was so beautiful and relaxing. The food is also world class at both outlets and we really enjoyed everything we had. And then the staff ... What an incredible group of passionate and kind individuals - everyone we met from Deanne, Patience, Angie - all the staff in the restaurants, in fact everyone we met went well and truly above and beyond to make you feel at home in the beautiful environment. They are genuine and we really enjoyed the time we spent with them all. Also if you have time the spa is a wonderful experience too.

Many thanks to all at the Cellars ! - We will be back :)

Jenni

I really enjoyed my stay at the Cellars-Hohenort. As they are a member of the Relais & Chateaux group of luxury hotels, my expectations were high, but this wonderful property did not disappoint. The rooms are spacious, with lovely bathrooms and some generous VIP touches. The food is simply first class and delivered with style, a smile and a passion which I found in all the staff that I had dealings with. We were lucky enough to enjoy dinner at the Greenhouse on one of the evenings and it was truly one of the most wonderful dining experiences of my life. The wonderful service is consistent from your first arrival and through to housekeeping, restaurants, bars, concierge, transfer services. This is a very well managed establishment! The location is also worth a mention as it is close enough to Cape Town city centre to be abl to enjoy V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, excursions to Robben Island, but is far enough away to be a restful haven at night. Nestled onto the side of Table Mountain and very close to Kirstenbosch Gardens there is no traffic noise, just birds and nature. I can thoroughly recommend this hidden gem and can think of no better place to stay for a visit to the Cape.

Our second stay at this superb establishment was shorter than our first because we could only get a booking for one night. The Cellars is a true sanctuary. If you can get in, go. It is a soul restorer.

We stayed for five nights here at the end of our our honeymoon trip to Africa. The beauty of the house and the wonderful gardens were such a wonderful first impression when we arrived. We felt pampered and cared for throughout our stay. A perfect suite, lovely staff and great food including a celebratory meal in the famous Greenhouse restaurant. On our first morning we bumped into the Head Gardener who, without prompting, offered us an hour's guided tour around his handiwork. Lovely. We were so sorry that with so much to do in and around Cape Town we had so little time to relax in the gardens and swim in the beautiful outdoor pools. Next time we will do things differently. Thank you.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch with friends recently at the Conservatory and on another
occasion had coffee in the lounge. The food was excellent and I would especially like
to compliment the staff on how friendly and gracious the service was. It would be
difficult not to have a memorable experience with the beautiful views, gardens and
elegant decor.

This was my second visit to Cape Town and the Cellars Hohenort and neither has disappointed, the staff were wonderful and the martini was sublime, and the food was second to none.... Highly recommended.... When we return this will be on my must do's again!
