We arrived at the hotel by car on a busy Sunday afternoon, to a full car park, complicated as the majority of parking places were marked as reserved for the adjoining offices. Deciding this would not apply on a Sunday, we took a gap.
We were shown to our room which was beautifully furnished but complicated.
We decided to make a coffee, but the machine was too upscale that you needed to read a manual. First attempt resulted in an overflowing cup so we reverted back to the kettle. I get basic Nespresso style machines, put in a cartridge and push the button, but this thing had a steamer, multi-setting fill and would darn your socks while you waited. Complicated.
We put some music on the TV - complicated. Three different remote controls. I didn't want to source a HDMI input and scan for updated channels, i just wanted music.
The safe. So complicated there was a card that told you to: push the red button, push and hold button A, wait for 2 beeps then push button B, enter a code, then take a lie down in a dark room. As the safe wasn't fixed to anything, I decided not to bother as a would be thief would simply walk out with the full safe, hidden in my suitcase and pick it open later. Complicated.
The air conditioning - you guessed - complicated.
The bed was comfortable, lots of space, an eclectic mix of modern and old furniture, great spacious bathroom with luxury toiletries, hair dryer etc
We took advantage of the pool, access through the busy Rose Garden bar full of people eating and drinking wasn't the best in a swim suit, but the journey was worth it. Really comfortable uncomplicated sun loungers and beds, with loads of fresh towels and great service.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and contrary to other reviews, found the food delicious and excellent value for money. Breakfast next day was even better, best breakfast juices in the world and freshly cooked food with first class service. Indeed service was impeccable throughout our stay.
The accommodation was not cheap but we enjoyed the experience.
