This cooking course was a Birthday present to my husband, myself and another son and his girlfriend from our son and wife in America. Such a special present! Emma made us feel so welcome in her magnificent kitchen. Our's was one of Emma's night courses. We sat around the kitchen table and preparation area enjoying a glass or two and helped make the dishes. The fact that it was all so hands-on made it even more enjoyable. Emma Freddi is delightful and a passionate cook. Everthing about the evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us and something we would do again as well as recommend to others. Thank you Emma!

A booking done with tongue in cheek turned out to be one of the highlights of our visit to the Cape.
Our host and chef for the night, Emma, has after the half day cooking course made us the all more passionate about Italian cooking. I now know how good pasta must taste including a sauce.
For an eventful evening of cooking with tips and good discussion many topics are covered and one comes away with new skills that can now be honed at home. Great Stuff!!!
Thank you Emma. Your cooking course will be a topic for many of our dinner dates in Natal.

Emma Freddi, a Venetian born pasta master, runs the cooking school here in Cape Town and was a perfect host from the start. Upon booking I queried how to get to Constantia from the city & she kindly organised for one of her friends to pick me up on her way to the cooking class.

Upon entering we were immediately impressed by the setting. Emma's kitchen was beautiful and us three students were able to sit around an island bench with Emma while she cooked, making it a very interactive class. It was your choice to pitch in and help or otherwise you could sit and watch while sipping on a glass of vino provided by Emma. We learnt 4 spectacular dishes, made with fresh but simple ingredients and after each, we sat around like old friends, tasting our recipes and sipping yet more wine. Not once did Emma look at the time or rush things along, she seemed to enjoy what she does making it a relaxing and fun experience. At home in Australia cooking classes take on more of a lecture and learn approach, with Emma it felt like you were cooking with friends in your home kitchen.

It is a shame we were not in Cape Town for longer as we would have tested out all the classes on offer as they are such great value. I would highly recommend this for anyone. Take along a group of friends and make a party of it or if your just a lonely traveller then sign up and you will learn so trade secrets and fill yourself with some amazing food - easy enough to be able to replicate while you are travelling.

Thank you Emma for what was one of my most enjoyable Cape Town experience. I hope to see you again.

I attended a cooking class at Enrica Rocca in Constantia Cape Town and can highly recommend it. As a food writer and cook I learned so much about authentic Italian cookery from Emma Freddi. Its an informal way to learn as you sit around Emma's kitchen table, sip wine and talk to her while she cooks. Its a brilliant and social evening out with friends and a perfect opportunity for tourists to attend a high caliber cooking class in Cape Town.
