We spent two amazing nights. Tessa and her team went out of their way to provide a chacuterie platter and champagne for us to celebrate my birthday! The rooms are truly beautiful and spacious, but make sure you take the time to ensure a glass of vino outside in the well kept gardens.

Our fourth visit. This has to be the most relaxing hotel in the area. Approaching the sliding door that enters the car park on Spaanchemat Road you could be forgiven for thinking "what am I coming to". The answer is "an oasis". The rooms are spacious and spotless. The gardens are fabulous, bursting with colour. It is so convenient to shops, attractions, great restaurants (and a pub!), the airport and V&A......only 15 minutes to the Airport on a Sunday afternoon. The number of nights we stay is increasing....this time 5....it was lovely. Tessa, Sam, Beauty and the rest of the team make you so welcome and will do anything to make you feel special. No need to look further when choosing a real boutique hotel which feels like a very plush home! Looking forward to returning next year.

Room Tip: 1,2 and 3 have their own small pools and are in the garden...30 seconds from the lounge. Other rooms...

We stayed for 3 nights in September and loved this hotel. We arrived straight from the airport several hours ahead of the check in time but our room was ready. We were greeted by Tessa who offered breakfast whilst she spent time telling us about places to visit and offered to book whatever we wanted. Her recommendations were all excellent and she couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is very small and the service is very personal and every single member of the staff was very friendly and attentive. The suite we had was huge and overlooked its own plunge pool, which must be a super place to be in summer. The room was very comfortable with underfloor heating and the bathroom was very large and modern. The free wine in the fridge was very welcome! The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there is a super Italian restaurant right next door that we visited on 2 nights. The hotel is in a beautiful area and about 20 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. It is perfect as a base for touring and is near the Constantia wine estates and the famous Kirstenbosch botanical gardens.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking its own pool

Thank you for the lovely review of our home.

The restaurant next door is in fact our official restaurant, Peddlars & Co which is now four restaurants under one roof: Volare - Fine Food, Graciales social sharing (Spanish tapas), The Local (fresh pub fair) and The Oak Terrace (al fresco dining).

We look forward to your stay with us again.

Kind regards
The Last Word Constantia.

This was our first stay at the Last Word Constantia (we have stayed at Bishops Court and The Long Beach 5 years ago) and the start of our trip to SA in September 2013 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We couldn't have picked a better place to enjoy the Winelands and Cape Town. The team here are brilliant under the guidance of Tessa and Sam who are 2 of the best caring hotel managers we have met. It was lovely to have 'sundowner' drinks before going out for dinner each night and their recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area was terrific. Our room was stunning, I have never seen such a beautiful bathroom and also to have a little sitting out area outside was lovely too. Turndown service was a real treat as well with a little dessert 'gift' left for you every night. A lovely peaceful place and well situated for travelling around. We really look forward to coming back!

The Last Word was one of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed and was made even better by Sam and Tessa who couldn't do enough for us. Our family suite was out of this world and the Wii games console was a great touch and managed to keep our girls quiet most evenings. Simply the best breakfast ever and I particularly liked the creme brûlée that was provided when the beds were turned down! Definitely a 5 star experience!

We're so delighted that you enjoyed the family suite - it's certainly one of our favourites and we love having children around the house.

Please join us again and take advantage of our great breakfasts and Nintendo Wii in the near future.

Kind regards
Sam, Tess and the team.

The hotel is beautiful, spacious and really luxury place to stay, but the thing that made our stay outstanding was the staff, specially Tessa. She took care of every single detail in our intinerary to make sure everything worked right. When our tour to Robben Island was cancelled she took the initiative and rearranged our whole day.
Great boutique hotel,

Room Tip: Room number 1 has a private pool and is very large

The attention to detail was 2nd to none... even down to the swirls in the butter!
Really, a 5 star feel.

Echo, the comments that Tessa was superb. From the moment we arrived Tessa made us feel as if we were her only guests. Not only did she provided excellent recommendations on where to go, what to do in the time we had available. She oozes a calm serenity that is infectious!
All the staff were exceptionally efficient and helpful.

Breakfast was freshly prepared every day, and to a excellent standard.
The room was huge, with most lovely mosaic double shower. Everything you could need was catered for, from bubble bath ... to bath salts if you preferred.
It was the most luxurious experience.

Can't say enough how fantastic our whole experience was.
Would most definitly like to return!!
