There is not much that is more pleasing to the senses than a glass of beautiful wine paired with magnificent food in an unreal setting. This is exactly what I was given at the Fine Food and Wine dinner hosted by the Waterside Grill and Guardian Peak wines at the Hyatt Regency Oubaai on the 28th of March. On arrival we were enticed with Lemon marinated prawns and Betroot lollies filled with a sweet local goats cheese that wonderfully complimented the crisp Gaurdian Peak Sauvignon Blanc wine selection. Executive Chef Brian then welcomed us with a smoking Sushi and proceeded to serve a tender Duck breast starter. The Blesbock lion main course was cooked to perfection and well suited to a personal favourite the Guardian Peak SMG blend. For dessert Brian prepared an African truffle cake topped a well rounded meal. Overall the experience left us thoroughly impressed and looking forward to the next dinner event at the one of a kind Waterside Grill Restaurant!
