“Summer Sun & Fishing Fun”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

This is a beach looked after like its someones baby. Always clean and welcoming. A beach where memories and friends are made.

From Playing in the sand like we kids again to bronzing up in the Summer sun. And then as the sun goes down for those of us that like to fish (catch & release) we stroll down to the Jetty or even to Point and rig up and enjoy the view. Its amazing to see these fishermen at work and even better is after they have fished there's a unspoken rule of cleaning up the Jetty area with a provided hose pipe, leaving it clean and neat for those of us just wanting to enjoy the Jetty for the view and the peace it provides you.

Then last but not least Vic Bay is well know for it's Surfing and Bodyboarding even the Billabong Trials ext are some years hosted here.

If its a Summer beach venue you want this is the spot.

“Crowded landmark nearby George”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

We have been there during the christmas holydays and therefore I assume it was so crowded. Nevertheless it was absolutely worth to visit this paradise for surfer and fishing enthusiasts. There is just one road to arrive this rocky bay, which is opening up to the open sea like a huge V. Park your car along the road as soon as you find a slot. It was great fun to walk around and watch the crowd enjoying life and the phantastic surfer riding the waves.

“Best Calamari in South Africa”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

Do not judge the small Cafe on the beach by it's cover. The Calamari is the Best.!!!! I go there every time we visit Ballots Bay and it is Amazing!!!

“Victoria Bay”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

Victoria Bay is about 60 km from Knysna. It is a small protected bay from weather elements. Very busy and crowded over Dec. Do not leave anything visible in the car, put it in the boot!

“Very quaint and unique”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Victoria Bay is a beautiful area very reminiscent of a little North Devon coastal village. The bay is U-shaped and protected by interesting, rugged headlands. It is a great favorite of surfers and holiday makers alike. However, having said that, remember that there are not really any shopping facilities available at Victoria Bay itself. The Garden Route Mall is about 10 minutes away by car and everything required is readily available and on a saturday morning you can visit the Outeniqua Farmer's Market which is a really fun outing. In peak season parking is at a premium so you have to get there early to secure a place to sit, either on the beach or the lovely green lawn overlooking the beach. Although there are security guards on duty, it is wise not to leave anything of value in the car. We love Victoria Bay and return there often
