One of the nicest little bays that I have visited ever. Quant and beautiful with a fantastic view of the ocean. Would like to stay over one day to really drink in the nature, the sea and just the quietness around. Recommended for more than just a visit.

I grew up in George in the Southern Cape area of South Africa. We often used to go to Victoria Bay over weekends and it was like a walk down memory lane returning to Vic Bay after so many years!

Vic Bay is a tiny hidden beach, ideal for everyone, from parents with young children, those who want the view but not the sand can sit on the grass covered area, the anglers try their luck from the jetty, and surfers constantly entering/leaving the water..hoping to catch the perfect wave.

Only the people who have houses or are making use of the guesthouses have access to the road next to the beach. Normal visitors and beach goers have a designated parking area and walk down to the beach.

There is a small shop/kiosk with snacks/take aways/ice cream and a restaurant and a number of accommodation facilities. The public ablution facilities were in a reasonable state.

It is the perfect place for a Sunday afternoon stroll and depending how long you choose to stare at the waves, would take about an hour+ of your time if you are not there for the day.

Vic bay like most areas along the Eden garden route , has most stunning views, in the whole country(in my opinion). Mountain, sunset, trails or just a lovely stroll along the beach, makes for a wonderful outing. SA at its best...nothing beats natrual beauty.

A very clean and beautiful small beach. I love sitting there watching the surfers. Restaurant offers really good meals and you can sit outside still enjoying the scenery. This beach however gets really very busy and packed during holiday season resulting in parking a long distance away. There is however a drop off zone at the gates if you have beach equipment and can't be bothered carrying it so far
