Our stay at the Manor house in Fancourt was our absolute best get away/golfing experience with the most exquisite accomodation, best service, excellent dining and superb surroundings. The staff is very professional, welcoming and making you feel special in all occasions. We played the Montagu and the Links courses which are both superb. The spa is beautiful and has all amenities you can think of. All in all the experience was the best! A no miss!

We made a reservation in 2013 at the Fancourt Resort main hotel, for a business event and were fortunate to receive an upgrade to the Manor House. Needless to say, the stay had made an ever lasting impression and when the business event came up this year, we knew this is where we would make our return reservation. Fortunately we had a couple of additional days on both visits, which allowed us to enjoy the splendours of this luxurious establishment. The Manor House is an all suite establishment, which is separate from the main hotel though, forms part of the Fancourt Resort. The luxuries of the Manor House will not disappoint. From the moment you arrive, you are showered with personal attention. The suites are beautifully appointed, includes use of the minibar, luxurious amenities and complimentary Wi-Fi. Sparkling wine awaited us upon our arrival. Our suite was situated on the ground floor, by the pool, for private use of the Manor House residents only. The most friendly butler, will attend to any of your requests may it be changes to the room or making bookings, whilst also setting up afternoon tea and evening canapés, which are served in the main lounge. Time of day permitting, you will find these elegantly setup in your room, should you be out at the time of serving in the main lounge. We had an event at the Hyatt Regency hotel and our butler arranged transfers to and from the hotel, in the chauffeur driven Manor House BMW, all inclusive to our stay. There is luxurious bath products which will satisfy the indulgence of the ladies... and the gentlemen who is not shy to enjoy a bit of pampering. Evening turn down service included romantic rose petals, an elephant holding a lily and swans holding a rose, expertly folded by towels and a pillow chocolate, with weather/travel information pamphlet, of each following day. We had relaxing messages at the spa, which has excellent sauna and steam room facilities. Alternating between dips in the ice cold water pool and the steam room was quite invigorating. Be warned though, it is truly freezing in the ice pool. We dined at La Cantina, which is more casual. It has a warm atmosphere and the veal was absolutely delicious. We look forward to a return visit and we'd like to thank everyone at the Manor House for your exceptional hospitality.

Room Tip: Our suite patio was right by the pool, which was convenient and provided a beautiful view of the cle...

South Africa alone is a fabulous destination but if you are a golfer and an adventurer who wants a 5 Star experience, The Manor House at Fancourt is for you. This small boutique hotel that is part of the larger Fancourt Resort is a wonderful venue for a luxury experience that is real value for your holiday budget. The rooms are beautifully appointed with my favourites being on the ground floor where you have a small outdoor terrace which is just set back from a private Manor house pool for hotel guests only. Your butler attends to all your requests and sets up an impeccable tea in the afternoon and canapés and champagne in the evening before dinner in the shared lounge which I imagine was an original lounge in the original house. The two restaurants that are attached to the hotel do not require you to go anywhere else during your stay. La Cantina has an authentic Italian kitchen which includes a wood burning pizza oven. Henry White's has a wonderful continental menu and both restaurants have a terrific local wine list. The two golf courses are right at the doorstep of the hotel and the pro-shop is ready to help you with all your golfing needs. The butler is well-prepared to help you plan any outing in the beautiful area of George or South Africa in general. Plan your next winter holiday here where it is summer in the southern hemisphere and the warm days are endless. We travelled in June but November to April has much better weather. You can make The Manor House your headquarters for your South African vacation.

Room Tip: The Manor house is the renovated original Manor House on the property and all the rooms are beautifu...

Heard much about the venue and its quality. Was not disappointed. Well appointed suite with all the luxuries as one would expect but made all the better by outstanding butler service rendered by Anton. Understated, efficient, professional, hospitable all in one. Our only regret ... Time there too short ... We will find an excuse for a longer visit next time

Excellent food - friendly staff - beautiful dining room and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The vegetarian in our party was made to feel special as the chef can manage to prepare stunning and tasty food without using pasta or risotto! Well worth the visit and dress code can be casual.

I stayed in this outstanding golf resort on 01 March'14 on a business trip to South Africa.

The moment you enter the resort you feel like you have come into a paradise. Staff out here are extremely courteous and ready to help you in every possible ways. Food at La Cantina Restaurant was mouth watering. Everything in this resort is like a picture perfect, rooms were very good, with amazing golf course views and superb amenities.

Can't wait to get back to this hotel and get myself pampered in the hands of amazing staff.
