“A real whale skeleton on display”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2014

Amazing and informative and you can only stand in awe of these big creatures. It a little museum with not many displays but worth the R5.00 you pay as entrance fee.

“Its a joke”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014

Having seen that place many moons ago, I was shocked by its status today. First the toilets are dirty and messy.
In the museum, three quarter of the appliances and exhibits are out of order with a little note saying sorry for the inconvenience. There is no maintenance and a great lack of professional management. The sherry on top is that you still have to pay an entrance fee; It’s a joke avoid it and don’t waste your time.

“Not a lot in there!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2014

Apart from the whale hanging overhead and plenty of pictures of whales and noises there is not a great deal to say. Kids would be bored and most of the interactive features appeared to be broken. There's a lovely lady who tells you a bit of history about the old harbour etc but the museum is just bits of archaic harpoons, a bit of old boat and a few dirty fish tanks with some sad starfish and sea urchins. however the old harbour is very quaint and pleasant for a paddle or a sit on the grass. Don't let this review put you off visiting as they probably need the money.
