The warmth of the small establishment makes for a great experience... We thoroughly enjoyed the crispy duck and neither could finish the generous portion - tender and delicious. Loved the simple menu takes the stress away and yet had enough on offer to suit all tastes! Thanks for a lovely evening.

Lovely atmosphere, good personal service, and quality food well presented. Relaxed bistro ambiance. The menu is compact but there is something for everyone. The desserts are to die for and the coffee is excellent. Reservations are essential as it is a small venue, popular, and It is not open all days of the week.

What a fabulous start to the weekend. Stunning setting. Great service. I started with the black fig, goats cheese and prosciutto chip salad followed by the handsomely sized signature crispy duck with orange and van Der Hum sauce washed down with a crisp bottle of Ataraxia Sauvignon blanc. That was finished with Stilton and port for desert. Deliciosa! Foodies you must pay it a visit. You will not be disappointed. Yum, yum, yum.

We were pleasantly surprise by the quality and presentation of the delicious dinner served by Marie-Claire. The succulent - crispy duck was cooked to perfection - enjoyed every morsel. Menu is small but good selection written on a black board. You won't be disappointed.

Almost hidden away you may have to ask how to gain access to this delightful eatery. Its worth the effort of tracking down the entrance and braving the tempting bookshop through which you must pass to what is almost a secret garden .....like the story of the same name the simple but divine pleasures you will find will leave you with indelible memory of something special.
the cleverly devised blackboard menu changes frequently demonstrating the fresh nature of the products, the service is special ...but enough of this ...visit and find out for yourself!
