Loved the view, it overlooks the new harbour, and loved the ambience inside, which was warm and cosy. It had a huge fire which helped too. The menu is extensive and has sushi and Thai food, but they also have a blackboard menu, which I assume changes regularly, so there is always something new and interesting. We booked through our hotel, and therefore had a prime table right by the windows where we could watch the locals doing some night fishing off the side. I ordered the king prawns (you get 8) at R140, this came with either chips and salad or hot veg. Plus a choice of lemon butter, garlic butter or the chef homemade peri peri, which was fantastic, they should bottle and sell it! 3 of us had the prawns, but my daughter had sushi which she said was brilliant, and it looked great too. Other things offered were Fillet steak, Bobotie (a SA favourite). Pemba Bay Cob amongst others I can't recall. They also have an extensive wine list. The waiter was attentive and helpful, and had clearly tasted the food which is always helpful. We really enjoyed our meal and the place and will certainly return the next time we are in Hermanus.
