We spent a lovely time in this Gues House. The accomodation was really nice and the place in the midle of hundred of trees was fantastic!
Thanks to the owners for their friendship!

Unfortunately, the weather was uncooperative during our two short days in Knysna, but the Bamboo made up for it. Since we couldn't hit the beach, we chilled in the boma and caught up with the friends we were traveling with. We loved having the little boma area where we could cook dinner and just relax. The room was so beautiful and luxurious, with a huge, plush bed. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were delicious. Since we were leaving early the next morning, they even packed us up a little bag of goodies to go!

The one thing I will point out is that the hotel is a short drive into the actual town. They do help you out with drivers if you want to have a few drinks though. There area it is in is very nice, but a bit more residential. It's a not a deterrent to staying there, it's just something be aware of if you were hoping to stay in town.

We (Dutch) were there with our 2 young boys (6 and 10 yaers old) and feld very very welcome! The boys played with the dogs and cats en for Yanie and Gordon 'nothing was too much'. We had some excellent breakfasts and stayed longer then we originally planned. The rooms (or should we say houses) are perfect (clean, big etc) and you often feel like you're in Asia with the art, the bamboo and the 3 (or 2...?) pools in the garden. In the direct area there is een wonderful restaurant (only 2 minutes drive) with a wide range of different meals. We also went to see wales en dolphins at Knysna and we saw a lot! In the direct area there are a lot of activities (also for kids). We promised w'll come back sometimes and we are sure w'll do!

Whether you are travelling the garden route or just looking for somewhere to spend two weeks Bamboo shouldn't be missed. We stayed 2 nights and really didn't want to leave. The guest house is the best we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot).

If you stay at Bamboo you won't be disappointed!

We hade a lovely stay at Bamboo. We stayed in a garden cottage, the one just next to the pool (there are two pools but this was the smaller one). Felt like we had our very own pool!

Room was clean and nicely decorated, we had a little patio just outside.

Jaynie & Gordon were so nice and friendly, helped us book massages - and also found a chiropractor for my husband. And gave tips on good restaurants neerby.

Also we specially enjoyed having a regular visitor to the cottage (never inside the room !) - one of the pets in the family - a cuddly friendly black cat!

Breakfast was tasty - yummy hommade muesli & freshly baked muffins every morning!
Only thing that I can think of that wasn't top notch was that they did not have wifi internet - but maybe that will come inte future !?

We loved this place!
