We drove up to the western end, even though we were tempted to use a tour ending on the eastern end. There are 2 levels to look at. The lower level allows you up close to the water, and the upper one gives tremendous views over the heads as well as the lagoon back to the town. This place is essentially the entrance to a protected lagoon, protected from the Ocean. We saw it on a tranquil day, and I understand, on windy days, it is almost impossible to get out unless you like dicing with danger.
