Owner description: Brenton-on-Sea is great for walking and sunbathing and is popular with paragliders. A big rock formation, castle Rock, is a favourite fishing spot for locals. Swimming is dangerous because of rip currents.

Its a wonderful scenic place and for anyone that likes photography is an adventure, almost impossible not to be awed by the sheer beauty of unspoiled nature.

Brenton on sea is a beautiful spot. Great for exploring "castle rock" at low tide, walks and sundowners, but the surf is rough, and there are rip-currents. Rather drive to Buffels Bay for a safe swim. Brenton-on -sea beach is very clean. For a fantastic walk, try the "Fishermans' Walk", in the same street as the beach, but in the opposite direction. It has a few beautiful look-outs, and a staircase (steep) to the beach, which is clean, and has many caves to explore. This is truly one of the Garden Route's best kept secrets. Take water, and a picnic. Enjoy! (at low tide) .

Our family took a drive to the beach today and decided to try out Brenton on sea. What a hidden treasure, the beach was stunning and my son and I took a looooong stroll. My daughter, who was not in the mood to go out, got into her cozzie and we could not get her to leave. You can't swim there but the fun you can have was incredible. There were some people doing dune surfing; that's definitely something I'm keen to try when I get back there....hopefully sooner rather than later.

It's very easy to get to Brenton On Sea if you have a car. It's a quaint town by the ocea. You can just park your car up on the hill and enjoy the top view of the beach down. Huge waves washing onshore. Impressive views.
