“Simply Magnificent!”
Reviewed 13 January 2014

Dear Ryan & Mandy

Andre and I would like to thank you for "sharing" your magnificent "piece of heaven" with us. We are both able to officially admit to finally "celebrating our long-awaited for honeymoon" - and the best holiday I've ever had.

From entering our cabin, I was unable to contain my excitement at the grandness and splendour of it all. Every little necessity was thought of and the service from the staff was professional and genuinely friendly. It was such a pleasure to feel "relaxed and welcomed" by yourselves and your staff.

Your enthusiasm, your helpfullness and recommendations in assuring that we not only well taken care of at the lodge, but through-out our stay in Knysna. We learnt of many new places to visit, restaurants (Tapas Bar in particular) and outdoor activities, thank you.

"On par with Idle Pain, it was by far the best breakfast we've had - passionate food made by passionate people!".

We cannot wait to visit again; except this time we'll add an extra day or two!

Thank you! Best wishes and blessings

Andre & Landi Tuit

What an awesome place of rest and relaxation. Service was excellent every day so was breakfast with a choice of having it on the deck or in our room. Magnificent views, centrally located. We loved it!

Our stay at Elephant Hide was honestly great. The service was excellent, the staff made our stay something to remember. Our 3 sons, aged 16,18 and 20 enjoyed it just as much... When we arrived there, we weren't sure what to expect, but I would recommend anyone to go there...its a break away from the buzz of everyday life... Thanx once angan to Ryan and his staff.... Regards, Nawhaal, Rieyaaz Achmat and sons.

Quite possibly the most beautiful place I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. On arrival we could not believe our luck - this is a hidden gem!! The infinity pool and gin and tonics were both flowing. Our lodge had the most incredible shower/bath view, safe to say we did not want to leave!!! A MUST visit :)

This is a hidden gem! Lovely cozy, but spacious lodges, with outstanding views of the lagoon from the large private sun deck. Beautiful bathroom with a jacuzzi overlooking the lagoon. Ryan, the owner, couldn't be more helpful or friendly.

This was our second visit and was just as perfect as our first. There is something very special about having one's own private, detached suite, with complete privacy yet only a step away from the comfortable lounge/breakfast room. Our suite was elegantly furnished with high quality furniture with a tasteful "African" ambience and we loved the bathroom with its Jacuzzi bath complete with candles and luxury toiletries. The uninterrupted view of the Lagoon was thrilling at any time of the day, but especially in the evening. The breakfast was excellent and the service exemplary. We would highly recommend this guest lodge which is in a tranquil area, yet only minutes from the bustle of Knysna.
