The Bridgewater is convenient to the waterfront. We knew from earlier reviews to ask for a room on the garden side rather than along the road. It was quiet and a lovely place for afternoon tea. The hostesses were very helpful is planning our activities for the next day.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bridgewater, Lyn was incredibly friendly and helpful. She provided us with all of the information we needed and even changed our booking at Addo National Park for us so that we had more time on the Garden Route, including requesting and printing the confirmation for us. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious - would strongly recommend a stay here.

Stayed here for 2 nights, rooms lovely, bright & clean, decorated so nice too.
It is on the main road, so there is traffic noise if you are a light sleeper, otherwise a lovley place to stay.
The ladies who run it really nice and freindly, will help you with maps to places, restaurants etc.
Wonderful tasty breakfasts each morning to set you up for the day.
Short walk into Knysna and the waterfront, and short drives to other attractions like the Elephant Park and Birds of Eden, both worth a look.

We spent 2 nights here in March whilst doing the Garden Route from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. We had a lovely garden room with its own little courtyard. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. There was a good choice for breakfast and the breakfast room was very light and airy overlooking the garden. The restaurants at the waterfront were 15 minutes walk away and good value. There is plenty to see and do in the area and our hosts were a fountain of knowledge on this. We had a great stay and would thoroughly recommend staying here. Thank you ladies. Karen and Graham.

We stayed here in a family room for one night on our road trip to Cape Town. Very friendly helpful staff, lovely clean rooms and a great breakfast. Our host also took time to help us select a restaurant to dine in and negotiated a table for us, as it was short notice on valentines day. If we head to Knysna again, this is where we will be staying. Great value for money also!

We love our two night stay, here. On arrival, we were offered a room in the garden, as we had booked a lagoon view room but the owner was worried about road noise affecting our sleep. We chose to stick with the lagoon view. Yes, the road was between us and the lagoon and yes, there was traffic noise but we didn't mind. If you do mind, I suggest you book one of the pretty rooms at the back of the property. Our room was bright and cheerful, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's an easy walk to the waterfront from the B&B. All of Knysna is easily accessible from here. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of fresh fruit salad, dried fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt and cooked options. There's a large fridge for guest use and a very well stocked drinks fridge/ honesty bar at very fair prices. We loved having a drink on our balcony in the evening sun. Pool is fine for a dip, but if you want a long swim, head for the beach at Leisure Isle.
We would recommend this B&B and would stay again. The ladies who run it are lovely, friendly and very helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quiet. Lagoon view rooms will have a lot of traffic noise, so don't book o...
