Very good choice of stay if you are in capetown and willing to drive around both towards the city and also to cape pt...rooms are quite decent in size and atmosphere. breakfast is okay. My favorite part of this place was its village style setup - meaning you can walk around and visit quite nice shops and restaurants around on foot ( less than 2 mins). Recommended...

My mother, daughter and I stayed here for 10 days late September/early October and it was wonderful! The people are helpful and kind, the hotel is cozy and warm, and breakfast every morning was yummy! The farm village that it is situated in has shops, a few restaurants and is hopping on weekends! We stayed here and took day trips out as it is very close to major roads. Loved it!

This was our second time at De Noordhoek and it was even better than the first time. We stayed in July 2012 with our son and daughter in law, and now again on our own.
Everything is so beautifully presented and the staff are exceptional. The friendliness and helpfulness goes beyond.
We had lunch at The Toad in the Village, which was fantastic as well. We then booked into our room and watched the rugby. What a treat that was as well to see Western Province win.
We then went downstairs and had a drink and ordered some Asian food. Fantastic. We had Tempura prawns - which I must say are the best we have ever had and some spring rolls. There is also a wonderful sushi menu.
We had a wonderful nights rest. The beds are so comfortable.
Breakfast the next morning was scrumptious. The usual buffet of cereals, fruit etc. and then you order your hot breakfast. Most delicious!
This really is a wonderful place to stay for a relax and we will definately be returning.
Thank you to all the staff

The Hotel are very nice. Everything is clean and neat. Loved the look, very stylish. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all our questions. Room service was quick.
Breakfast was prepared well and there was enough of everything at all times. Service was quick.
The old-style tv in the room is a bit of a let-down. A plasma would make the room look more luxurious. The fridge was also missing in our room. You can see where it stood. When we asked for it, we were informed there aren't fridges in the rooms.
The room we stayed in was very noisy. The smallest sound was disturbing.

Room Tip: Do not sleep in room 1 as it is very noisy.

Hi Jolene. We are very glad that you managed to experience De Noordhoek Lifestyle Hotel through the support and generosity of our friends at the kfm club. The plasmas tv's are in and the rooms are looking great. Fridges are a luxury we do without because of our countries continuing electricity supply problem. I have slept in many places on our planet and our rooms, beds and linen are world class, sorry you had such a bad nights sleep. A nightcap at one of our village restaurants may have remedied that. And summer is here, in this country village the cock crows at about 6pm now, but only once! It's a great village life. Cheers Dougie.

I've stayed at De Noordhoek on several occasions and always enjoyed it. The hotel itself is a dignified Cape Dutch style building situated amongst the other buildings of the De Noordhoek "village". There is a pub opposite (a little noisy but closed at 11.00 prompt) and a restaurant 100 metres away serving really excellent food so a single business visitor won't feel isolated. My only concern is that, being built to warm weather standards the hotel is chilly in winter and noisy - no seals on the doors or windows, single glazing and a lack of sound-absorbing materials. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful with the exception of one rather taciturn young man who needs to be told that guests appreciate an offer of help up the stairs with their luggage, even if they may be capable of carrying it themselves. It would also help if he accompanied guests to the room and explained how to turn the AC unit to the "heat" setting.

The bedroom and bathroom are spotless but a little austere - some more pictures wouldn't go amiss. On previous visits I've been woken up at 05:00 by a goose calling loudly from the roof but this is probably a seasonal hazard and didn't happen in October. Altogether a decent, pleasant hotel where you will feel comfortable and relaxed.

We were accommodated without having planned it for three nights and have known we would have been many more. The hotel staff took care of us very well, very spacious, clean and quiet room. We recommend to everyone without any doubt.

If you rent a car don't doubt to go that place where you'll be near from everywhere in the Cape peninsula.

Hi Josep, that's the way life used to work and now seems to be making a comeback! Get in a car and drive until you find something you like or read about on the web and head there.

Noordhoek as you found out is a true gem in the heart of the peninsula and as a well travelled and loyal Capetonian I dont think there is a better value for money offering anywhere in Cape Town when you consider what the De Noordhoek Lifestyle Hotel offers and what is on our doorstep.

The Foodbarn, Cafe Roux and The Toad in the Village all set in our beautiful and pristine Noordhoek Farm Village are some of the best eating and meeting places in Cape Town. Throw in there a beauty salon followed by walking and horse rides on Noordhoek Beach and Cape Point Vineyards to watch the sunset and you really are in paradise 20 minutes from the city.

Follow Josep folks and take the road less travelled, you wont be dissapointed. Cheers guys and travel safe, we look forward to your return to our neck of the woods. Dougie.

My wife and I unfortunately only got one night away from an otherwise business trip to CT- we choose De Noordhoek having spent some fun times in the Noordhoek village. The hotel is a real jewel, that just hits the right combination of charm, all the comforts and real character- the staff are also friendly. Noordhoek itself is great, we had a memorable evening at the Toad pub, and although we didn't have time to eat anywhere else, I am told the local restaurants are good too. There seems so much to do in and around Noordhoek, and I am planning a mates weekend trip, based at De Noordhoek, to take better advantage of whats on offer- wine, beaches, horse riding etc.

Hello the Walkers, lovely to have you to stay at De Noordhoek and also great to catch up at The Toad. You are spot on, great places, great vibe and as convenient as it gets in Cape Town. Looking forward to seeing that boys trip come together, should be fun times. Until next time, cheers.
