“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014

We were two friends booking a beach ride together 10th of April. We are both semi-experienced. We expected a big group, but it was just us and our guide Maddy. We talked first about safety rules and experience before we got our horses. I got Maestro and my friend got Nutmeg. We were out for 2 hours, riding to the beach first between houses to get to the beach, and then through a lagoon. It was beautiful and we enjoyed every second of it! We took some nice photos at the beach before we trotted a bit. On the way home we got like a “jungle” experience, walking in the water through bushes. Our guide was friendly and really nice.
We would really recommend this place to all. The staff is nice and the horses are good. If you want to experience Noordhoek beach, do it from a horseback!

“beautiful location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

as an experienced rider with a completley non riding partner this stables was a great discovery - great staff, horses and location! to be be able to jointly ride out in safe manner is rare and the beach ride proved a spectacular experience - even though just at walk - the enviroment and pleasure provided by the setting was fantastic.

the ride leader took great efforts ro match rider and horse and keep things simple and fun - the beach ride was stunning and considering all the distractions the horses behaved beautifully without being plugs.

even the ride back through the wetlands was great fun - cannot recomend enough - a bigger and more beautiful back drop tha n even Holkham beach in Norfolk and that says a lot for any UK riders!

“Lovely afternoon, stunning ride”

After six years of visiting Cape Town for Christmas I finally got round to horseriding on Noordhoek - it was worth the wait! As a beginner the guides and staff were really friendly and accommodating and with a nice couple on the trip as well I had a really lovely afternoon!

I've done a couple of beginner rides before but this was a really great trail, you get a little bit of everything, next to the beach, up by the sand bank, past the flamingos on the sand lake, up through the marshes and then past all the finbos through the field on the way back to Sleepy Hollow.

Potentially my favourite beach in the world Noordhoek is perfect for horseriding in the surf, with the sunshine out a relaxing experience to add to your Cape Town visit. Follow it up by lunch at the food barn.

“Idyllic Location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2014

My wife and I had never rode a horse before and our trepidation was quickly dissipated. Warm greetings and professionalism removed pre-riding anxieties. You are in good hands. Well equipped and well instructed . The horses are well trained and the guide Maddy was knowledgable, patient and has a passion for her job. The scenery was spectacular and the photos(which Maddy kindly took) were the highlight of our vacation. The price is excellent value for 2 hours with your personal guide. Check it out! ... Excellent added value to your vacation!

“Great fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2014

We rode on a Saturday morning, a group of very mixed abilities. Th horses were super and both guides were fun and chatty. It did take a while to reach the beach, but it was no hardship. The girls split the ride, the less able ant for a walk almond the sae front while we more experienced had a trot and canter along the waves. The ride home was lovely, going through the wet land area. I really enjoyed the experience and can't wait to return.
