We have been regular visitors at The House at Pooh Corner for 5 years and find it a wonderful " home from home". The breakfasts are delicious and the gardens beautiful. And then, of course, it represents great value for money.

My husband and l stayed for four weeks in Roo's room at Pooh Corner. First impressions, the house and gardens looked so welcoming.Kathy the owner gave us such a warm welcome we felt immediately at home.Roo's room was well equiped and French windows opened onto a terrace and gardens. The kitchen was a tad small but we had planned to travel about we would eat mainly out.Across the road at the front gates there was a selection of craft and food shops, plus restaurants and a local pub. We found this very convenient. From Pooh Corner there where good roads with easy access to Noordhoek beach and Chapmans Peak.In the opposite direction Simon's Town ,Boulders Beach and many more places of interest. We will be back.

We arrived here after a long and eventful journey which started in Spain. Kathy gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our Owl House accommodation, it was nice and homely, she kindly gave us a bottle of wine and some snacks for our lunch. The house and accommodation suites are set in beautiful gardens with many type of trees and flowers. The gardens have lots of places to sit and enjoy the sun and shade and there is a small pool to dip in. The maid cleans the suites daily and even does your washing for a small fee. Breakfast often served in the garden is always a pleasure with fruits and home made bread and pastries; it is also a time to chat with the other guests. Noordhoek Farm Village is just across the road and offers a number of restaurants and shops, you can by fresh baked bread in the mornings. There are plenty of bays and beaches to visit a short drive away and Cape Town central is only 35 minutes by car. Noordhoek beach is close by and is great for wind surfing and enjoying the wonderful views and sandy beaches. Definately a place to stay.

We stayed at pooh Corner during a heat wave. It was cool and inviting, and cool at night. It is a lovely house, and we were most definitely not bothered by noise. It is opposite Nordhoek farm viilage, so has a variety of restaurants and a deli within 5 minutes walk. The owner and hostess Kathy is lovely, and could not do enough for us. We stayed in Piglet's Place for 16 nights, and always felt relaxed and at home. This is a lovely place to stay, and excellent value.

The webpage describes this property as being peaceful and having luxury furnishings. Although we had booked for 4 nights we ended up leaving after 2 as in fact the property was located between two busy roads as there was an area with a number of restaurants nearby resulting in traffic until quite late. In addition there were a number of cockerels that started crowing very early in the morning. The furnishings were in fact rather tired rather than luxurious, with a stove and fridge that appeared decades old and the shower was a handheld one over the bath.
