I recently had the priviledge to stay at Turnberry Lodge during the KKNK Festival. From the moment we walked in we could not ask for more. The owner, Neil, is always friendly and just the perfect host .. he was born to be a guest house owner!
Our room was stunning, I still want to know the make of the linen and pillows as I slept like a baby, the water features throughout, the cosy pub, the breakfast with those fantastic "vetkoeke" the lovely swimming pool area, I simply could not fault it and if I ever go to Oudtshoorn again there will only be one place where I would want to stay!

We stayed at this hotel in February and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality offered by the establishment. It's location for the town is excellent and the on-site pub a bonus. Large modern clean rooms thoughtfully decorated all add to this fine hotel.

Its centrally located in Oudtshoorn in a quiet surrounding, convenient for exploring nearby ostrich farms, cango caves and wildlife parks- the tiger and cheetah cubs, crocodiles, elephants etc.

The staff; Miriam, Sulette and Jonathan are friendly.

Dinner was a typical Briaa, South African BBQ.

However, we found the choice of breakfast very limited and the dining room deserves better lighting.

The accomodation was very comfortable and well maintained.

THe staff were friendly and the two rooms we booked were well furnished with a refereshing shower. The breakfast was divine and the omelettes and cuppacino made bt Mariam was amazing. The hotel is well appointed and the best shopping for gifts was nearby.

In april 2011 we have made a cruise from Cape Town to Italy. Pre cruising we had 6 days a rental car for a roundtrip in the area.
On the 29th of April we overnight in the Turnberry Lodge & Tavern. Its centrally located in Oudtshoorn in a quiet surrounding.
The service of the staff was excellent, the room well furnished and clean. The breakfast was very tasty.
We can recommend this lodge to everyone who enjoys a small size hotel with personal attention in a great area.

Special thanks to the female cook who served an excellent ostrich terrine and ostrich steak. We gave her a big applause. (On board of the ship during our diners we’ve thought many times about this diner).
