A last minute decision turned into a lasting impression. We had the pleasure of meeting night shift legend Andre Horn. A friendly face that time of the evening is all we needed to feel at home. Great service all round. We'll be seeing you again.

Although I only stayed there for 2 nights, I must admit that it was an excellent stay. The service extremely good and the reception went out of there way with their service. Staff service was exceptional. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Oudtshoorn.

We had just one night in Oudtshoorn (to see the Meerkats at 5am!) and stayed at this little hotel - it was ideal for us with just a short stay. The staff was lovely - very helpful! The bartender kept the bar open a little later for us to enjoy some cold beers - it was really hot! I wish we had had time for a swim in the pool. It was excellent value for your $.

Just discovered this little hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spread all over, but well equipped and offer you everything you need. Breakfast is good and locastion excellent. Enough restaurants in the area to choose from.

Having decided to drive the garden route and not book accommodation some might have thought this risky. When we stumbled upon The Turnberry we were over joyed. They had just one room left and it was a sweet little garden "cottage" with two ENORMOUS beds and fabulous crisp white cotton sheets. The temperatures were up in the 40's and we enjoyed sitting in the cosy pool area enjoying a drink from the hotel bar. The staff, as I see mentioned in earlier TA reviews, could not have been more helpful. There was excellent wifi which was useful as we had reason to be in touch with family at home. For supper the hotel suggested several places to dine (they do meals at the hotel but advised us no one else was dining that night and we might rattle around the room on our own which was kind, no one likes to eat in an empty restaurant). As we'd eaten a late lunch we opted to eschew the suggested places to eat and take our chances at a bar around the corner - what a great decision. A very funky bar called Brians Grill which offered us the perfect night out. A good bar man who was attentive and a long menu of simple food. We got into conversation with a wonderfully interesting man who was a wild plant forager - what a great night and the food was good too, not haute cuisine but very well prepared and cooked meals. Our only disappointment was discovering we had not rolled enough time into our drive to visit Prince Albert which comes highly recommended. So if you pass through town and want a good bed to sleep in, friendly staff, a decent breakfast and a central location look no further than The Turnberry Boutique Hotel.
