The lodge is set in a beautiful valley, and the rooms are surrounded by well kept pretty gardens. The accommodation is clean and it is a pleasure to sit on the verandah and watch the sun go down or wake in the morning to the birdsong.
The breakfast is the same every morning, and for a long time stay I think this becomes monotonous -- also the coffee was poor quality instant, or coffee bags. Good filter coffee is an essential drawcard for any overnight establishment. The option of requesting other meals was not well explained, however the restaurant at a nearby lodge was recommended - die oue meul - and the food here was excellent, but one had to drive there.
The aloe walk was well worth the climb.
