“Well worth a visit”

IT was very quiet and we made use of the one hour gudied tour with S'Bu. The ranch is well kept and the animals enclosures appeared very well kept which is always nice to see. We met the Cheeta's and baby Tigers (additional cost) and this was a very memorable experince that I'd also recommend. The rnach is comact but has a high variety of wildlife and good facilities. We ate at the restaurnat and like most places in SA the food was good and very reasonably priced.

“Less good than it used to be!”
Reviewed 23 May 2012

A rather disappointing visit. We had first visited Cango Wildlife Ranch 9 years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we were with our sons (both in their mid 30s) and their partners. It has all become rather naff and I felt embarrassed at persuading them all to go there. Teens and younger would probably enjoy it more. The guide who took us round was full of not very funny jokes, which by the end of the tour were really irritating!

I have to say that I did not enjoy this as much as I thought I would. Firstly, because we were 20 minutes early, while waiting for our tour to start, we were told we could walk around the ranch which we enjoyed a lot, took pictures of the animals, it was fun. We then started our tour which started off fun as well but I felt that our tour guide was not into what he was doing as he should have been. He sounded very rehearsed and sometimes looked impatient and ready to move on while we were still admiring what we were seeing. On top of that, sometimes he spoke Afrikaans which was a language with the other people doing the tour which we, my boyfriend and I did not understand meaning we probably missed some of the things said because of that which we thought was very rude. On top of that, after being allowed to walk around and see the lions and cheetahs etc while waiting, the tour took us back to that which we thought was pointless.

We were actually very disappointed, especially because we thought that was where we could have the most fun during out time in Oudshoorn, but we did not have as much. The place itself is beautiful and worth seeing, but we were unlucky to experience it the way we did.

“amazing cats”
Reviewed 21 May 2012

My wife got to interact and play with 3 white tiger cubs, 4.5 months old :). They have a bridge walkway through all the enclosures that gives you a very good vantage point so you can see the cats well. Yes the animals are in captivity and not roaming free, it is a sanctuary after all. By far the best I have seen so far. There is a fee for interacting with the cats and having your picture taken with them however they should include a digital copy of the picture for free. Overall a very good experience:).
