Excellent experience! The place is beautiful and the owners very welcoming! The rooms are nicely decorated and clean, very pleasant! We also had a 3 course meal for dinner which was EXCELLENT!!! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Oudtshoorn!
The hotel is situated close to a lovely Ostrich farm which we recommend! The cango caves are also a GREAT activity to do there!

Upon our arrival, we were met with warm hearted hospitality, by both the owners. They treated us to good wine and conversation. The rooms are cosy with beautiful decor. The tranquil country surrounds is a great setting for a relaxing time. Lollies directed us to attraction in and around Oudtshoorn which we thoroughly enjoyed. We will have to go back for another vist with a glass of wine by the fire place! We left Thylitshia feeling special.

Room Tip: Room 1 and 2 has a connecting door which is great to have the kids near.

I was reading previous reviews about Thylitshia Guesthouse and I agree with everything that`s been written. It really is a lovely relaxing place to stay. They have a beautiful garden with shade and comfortable sun-beds. A lot of detail has gone into making the restaurant a very pleasant place to enjoy the excellent breakfast and evening meal. We found it good value for money. One evening we went into town for a meal and were very disappointed. Our room was very clean, the furniture was a bit outdated, I believe they are still renovating some rooms. I would really recommend staying here everyone so friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble. We shall be back on our next SA trip.

It's not easy to find. Take the road due south from Oudtshoorn, rather than the roads from the west which we tried. We did not meet Eliza but Lollies made us very welcome. He cooked us an excellent dinner of ostrich steaks. Breakfast the next day with home made bread was delicious. The rooms are cosy and comfortable.

At arrival we felt so welcome. The country and warm homelike style of the rooms make you feel at home directly. We made use of the diner option. Diner was cooked to perfection and with passion. What directly was clear is the love with which the family is in this business..
Also breakfast, there is a choice for all !!! BAK GAT

Great boutique style accommodation with a look of `Shabby Chic` furniture and decoration. Very comfortable if small room but all you need for a short stay. In the evening Lollies cooked a great meal for us and his family, a starter of butternut squash soup, then Porticos, which was a delicious lamb stew served with corn, courgettes, butternut squash and an excellent bottle of Boplass Cabernet/Sauvignon wine. There was a dessert available but we were too full at this stage! The breakfast next morning was freshly cooked for us, and included Lollies home made sausage!

Room Tip: There are 5 rooms in a block and look out onto the garden. We had the one on the end number 6, which...

Thank you Lollies and Eliza on a most enjoyable weekend at your beautiful country guesthouse. Going the extra mile and bringing our car through to the finish of the 360ne MTB event was most appreciated as well as preparing the exceptional fish dinners specifically for our special requirements. Making special provision for us with the late booking on our second nights stay was also brilliant. All and all - wonderful hospitality - we'll be back!! Regards, Mike and Jeanine

Room Tip: Our rooms were lovely
