Our Cape Town travel agent recommended Thabile Lodge, so we had no expectations or preconceptions.

The Thabile Lodge people (hosts and staff alike) are warm, accommodating and gracious. Len remains a crowd favourite! The food is local, fresh and first rate. Lodging is as it sounds: lodge-like, almost a modern version of the Flintstones. Loved it. But it's the physical environs that will take your breath away. Stunning.

We spent several days on the first part of our Garden Route journey and enjoyed it so much that we made a point of staying here again on our return journey to Cape Town!

As far as location, it's a bit off the beaten track, but totally worth the extra effort. Thabile Lodge is Paradise Found.

Our travel agent in Cape Town recommended we stay in this property as part of our tour of the garden route. We were a little skeptical and our skepticism proved utterly unfounded. The magic of the place is hard to put into words. The scenery brings stunning to another level, the quality of service, food and accommodation are stunning and perhaps what was most stunning was the more than affordable price. If you intend to visit Oudtshoorn (Cango Caves, Ostrich Farms etc) please give this place a try. It's 20kms from the town but don't let that put you off. Can't recommend it enough
