A delightful, unpretentious place, attractively decorated and where one is not bombarded by over-loud muzak so conversation without yelling is perfectly possible! Our table by the fire was a very welcome respite from the crispy air on Saturday but the courtyard looks dreamy and I am looking forward to a visit in summer.
The menu is not overlarge and the dishes are prettily presented, our only criticism was the lack of variety in the vegetables which accompanied our meal, to have duck breast on butternut mash served with yet more butternut, was disappointing. My companion praised the duck and I can vouch for the perfection of the fillet!
Lyle was our waiter and he truly provided service way above and beyond our expectations - Thank you Lyle! Truly, you are one of the main reasons I rate this establishment so highly!
