Description: Blue Bay Cafe is a sea side venue nestled in the tranquil and magnificent Saldanha bay. Our glass enclosed panoramic restaurant offers protection from the elements whilst overlooking the gorgeous ocean, fynbos gardens and the and bustling sea port. Our newly designed is unique, small and delicious. We specialise in great food, paired with local, west coast wines, offering a selection of dishes that are done well, and filled with rich tasty flavour. Local ingredients are used and fresh produce is made every day. We'd encourage you to book a candle lit evening with us in order to enjoy the magnificence of our sunsets or an afternoon business lunch, for a touch of class. Blue bay restaurant - cafe, is a rare find on the west coast, setting a bar above the rest.

After living on the West Coast for some time and hearing the great reviews recently coming from Blue Bay Lodges new "foodie" menu, my girlfriend and I decided to take a chance and see for ourselves what people were raving about. After sampling 6 different dishes, we could not believe what delicious dishes had been hiding right under our noses for all this time. 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts later and at a very reasonable price, we sat in absolute astonishment. The food was simple in style, but absolutely delicious and unparalleled to anything on the West Coast, fresh, crisp and rich with flavor and just different for a change! The menu was small yet pleasantly offered a wide variant of fresh ingredients that you could taste had arrived that morning. You must try a 3 course meal and sample as many different dishes as you can. The salt cod fritters and Patagonian Calamari with mango salsa is brilliant! Their Thai Mussels and pan of fried prawns were the best I've ever eaten and the desserts are rich and perfectly portioned to end off the evening with a delicious coffee. A true hidden gem for any food lover!
I've cooked around the world for many years and have rarely sampled a menu so well balanced and simple in style but so perfectly put together to still remain Wes Kus. Well done staff! You can be proud of your achievements in changing this restaurant! This is our new weekly!
