“Excellent room and very nice breakfast”
Reviewed 5 January 2013

Lovely room, very clean. Great shower. Breakfast was served on the porch, as the weather was very nice. The guest house is located near the center of Stellenbosch, but in a quiet street.
Will definitely recommand this place - great value for money

I have been there twice now and I strongly recommend it for travelers to Stellenbosch. The ambiance is wonderful, staff are extremely helpful and nice and the whole experience is not to be missed. I will certainly stay there again :)

Room Tip: Lower floor (Olive) room is wonderful :)

Cosy environement, spotlessly clean, lovely room, delightful garden, ample breakfast - a thoroughly enjoyable staym and would have stayed another night if circumstnaces had permitted.
The B&B also has much that is of historical significance and when you want to be on our own there's a gazebo in the garden, as well as a pool. Also, the university is in walking distance as is the commercial centre of the town. I would certainly go there again, or find an excuse to.

I stayed here with my wife for 2 nights during our honeymoon, we stayed in the gorgeous "Rose Room". The staff couldn't have been more helpful & Johan in particular was so open & eager to share his passion for the villa, the gardens and the history of the region. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and the building itself is fabulous.

Very warm and welcoming staff and hosts. Made for a very pleasant stay for my first visit to South Africa. The relaxing atmosphere helped me to recover quickly from the long trip and I was able to fully concentrate on my conference while also being fresh to enjoy the delights of the town.

We stayed here for 4 days to relax at the end of a long trip. We immediately felt welcomed by all the staff who were eager to make us comfortable and assist us with anything we needed, such as renting a car, arranging airport transfers, and even getting us tickets for a concert at the University. They even served us tea and cookies after we checked out and were waiting for our airport transport. There is easy walking to the downtown area - no car is really needed unless you want to reach outlying areas. Mr. Krige gave us wonderful recommendations to make our stay special. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed for one night, and our only regret is that we didn't have longer. We were in town unexpectedly, and contacted the Villa as walk-ins. Luckily they were able to accommodate us (it was low-season), and we were immediately shown to a lovely room that included a jacuzzi tub, a fireplace, and a really neat circular bed, and plenty of candles. There was a complimentary bottle of port, and a stocked 'honesty' bar in case we needed for anything. We took full advantage of the room during our short stay and really enjoyed it. The young woman working the front desk was knowledgeable and friendly, she made us feel welcome right away, even though we were walk-ins. The location is perfect, it's on a residential street, but walking distance to restaurants and shops. Breakfast was included, and was very generous. This was the last night of our vacation in South Africa, and we couldn't have spent it at a better place. Thank you!

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor, immediately to the left of the entrance. At first we were worried...
